    Abstract: One example method includes sending, by a first terminal device, a first request message to a network device, where the first request message is used to request to establish a sidelink radio bearer (SL RB) between the first terminal device and a second terminal device, where the first request message includes at least one of a parameter index or at least one parameter. The first terminal device can then receive a first response message from the network device, where the first response message includes one or more of admission control indication information, the at least one parameter, the parameter index, or first SL RB radio resource configuration information, where the admission control indication information indicates that the network device allows establishment of the SL RB, and where the first SL RB radio resource configuration information includes at least one of an SL RB identifier or protocol layer configuration information.

    Abstract: A sidelink communication method, a communication apparatus, and a communication system are provided, to perform sidelink communication configuration in a relay scenario. The method includes: A remote device sends first information to a relay device; the relay device receives the first information from the remote device, where the first information includes a first paging parameter of the remote device; the relay device sends second information to a first network device, where the second information includes the first paging parameter; the first network device receives the second information from the relay device; and the first network device performs sidelink configuration based on the second information. In this way, the first network device performs sidelink communication configuration based on the first paging parameter, so that quality of sidelink communication between the relay device and the remote device is improved, and scheduling flexibility of the first network device is improved.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to sidelink communication methods and apparatus. In one example method, a terminal device sends first information to a network device, where the first information includes a first destination address, a first carrier index, and a first quality of service (QoS) parameter, and there is a correspondence between the first destination address, the first carrier index, and the first QoS parameter. The network device receives the first information from the terminal device. The network device determines sidelink radio bearer (SLRB) configuration information based on the first information, and sends the SLRB configuration information to the terminal device. The terminal device receives the SLRB configuration information from the network device.
