Abstract: An embodiment of a Network Virtualization Edge (NVE) device for transmitting packets receives a packet including a source address and a destination address. The NVE device obtains an active-active access configuration information list including a first entry and a second entry, where the first entry includes an identifier of a first active-active group, a Virtual Network Instance (VNI), and an identifier of the NVE device, and the second entry includes an identifier of a second active-active group, a VNI, and identifiers of at least two NVE devices that belong to the second active-active group. The NVE device obtains the VNI according to the identifier of the NVE device, searches for one active-active group corresponding to the VNI, selects a second NVE device from the at least two NVE devices; and encapsulates the packet using an identifier of the second NVE device and the VNI, and sends the packet.

Abstract: A controller obtains a forwarding latency requirement of a service flow and a destination address of the service flow, and determines a forwarding path that meets the forwarding latency requirement. The controller determines that an ingress node forwards a first cycle time number of a packet and an intermediate node forwards a second cycle time number of the packet, and separately determines a corresponding adjacent segment identifier. A label stack generated by the controller includes the adjacent segment identifier and the adjacent segment identifier. The controller sends the label stack to the ingress node, to trigger the ingress node to forward the packet within a period of time corresponding to the first cycle time number. The controller determines the forwarding path based on the forwarding latency requirement of the service flow, and generates a label stack corresponding to a forwarding time point.

Abstract: An SFC-based communications method and system, and an apparatus are provided. The SFC includes a CF node, an SFF node, and an SF node, and the SFF node is connected to the SF node. The method includes: receiving, by the CF node, a first message from the SFF node; obtaining, by the CF node, network topology information of the SFC based on the first message; obtaining, by the CF node, an SFC forwarding table, where the SFC forwarding table is determined based on the network topology information of the SFC; and sending, by the CF node to the SFF node, a second message used to indicate the SFC forwarding table. Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a method and an apparatus for compressing a label stack. The method includes: obtaining a first label stack corresponding to a forwarding path, where the first label stack comprises node labels corresponding to each node on the forwarding path; selecting a first node label from the first label stack, where when forwarding a packet, a node corresponding to the first node label is capable of encapsulating at least two layers of labels in the packet; replacing at least two adjacent labels located after the first node label in the first label stack with a first compression label, to generate a second label stack; and instructing a source node on the forwarding path to perform packet processing according to the second label stack. In this way, a length of a label stack pushed into the packet can be shortened.

Abstract: This application discloses a communication method, and relates to the communications field. In the method, a fixed mobile interworking function (FMIF) receives an access request message that carries first authentication information of a fixed network device and that is sent by a broadband network gateway (BNG), where the first authentication information is generated by the BNG based on a dial-up packet sent by the fixed network device, and the first authentication information includes an identifier of the fixed network device. The FMIF encapsulates the first authentication message in a message format supported by a control plane interface between the FMIF and a core network device, to obtain a second authentication message; and the FMIF sends the second authentication message to the core network device through the control plane interface. The core network device performs authentication on the fixed network device based on the second authentication message.
