Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a beam usage method, including: A first communication device determines a first beam and a second beam, where the first beam and the second beam are beams of a same type. The first communication device determines, according to a first rule, a beam used for a first control resource set, where the beam used for the first control resource set is the first beam and/or the second beam. In this way, the first communication device correctly applies a beam, that is indicated by a network device, to a channel corresponding to a control resource set, so that the channel corresponding to the control resource set is transmitted through the correct beam, to improve communication transmission performance.

Abstract: This application provides a beam failure recovery method, an apparatus, and a system. In this solution, a terminal device receives first configuration information from a network device, and performs cell-level beam failure recovery or transmission reception point level (TRP-level) beam failure recovery based on the first configuration information. The first configuration information is used to configure a plurality of sets of beam failure detection resources and a plurality of sets of candidate beam resources. Based on this solution, the terminal device may perform partial beam failure recovery based on the plurality of sets of beam failure detection resources and the plurality of sets of candidate beam resources, so that the terminal device can detect a TRP-level beam failure and recover the TRP-level beam failure in time. This effectively improves smooth system evolution.

Abstract: This application discloses a data sending method, a data receiving method, and an apparatus. The data sending method includes: if first type data is punctured, preserving, by a network device, a punctured first data subset in the first type data and puncture location information of the first data subset in the first type data, and retransmitting the first data subset within a second scheduling period to a user equipment. In this way, the network device does not need to wait for feedback from the user equipment before the network device can perform a retransmission operation, so that latency of retransmission is reduced. In addition, the network device only needs to retransmit the punctured first data subset within the second scheduling period but does not need to retransmit the entire first type data, so that an amount of data to be retransmitted is reduced and fewer transmission resources are consumed.

Abstract: A power headroom reporting method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: A terminal determines a power headroom based on a maximum transmit power of the terminal and a sum of expected transmit powers respectively corresponding to at least two antenna panels or transmission beams in the terminal. The terminal sends indication information of the power headroom to a network device. According to the method and the apparatus, in a scenario in which the terminal performs uplink transmission by using a plurality of antenna panels, each antenna panel corresponds to one transmission beam, so that the terminal can accurately report the power headroom, thereby facilitating subsequent uplink transmission scheduling and power control performed by a base station, and improving performance of the uplink transmission performed based on the plurality of antenna panels.

Abstract: A beam indication method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: A terminal device receives first configuration information from a network device, to configure M common beams of a same type, where M is an integer greater than 1. The terminal device receives first indication information from the network device, to activate N common beams, and group the N common beams into a first common beam group and a second common beam group, where N is an integer greater than 1 and less than or equal to M. Further, the terminal device receives one or more pieces of first downlink control information from the network device, to indicate two common beams of a same type.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method, a network device, and a terminal. When the method is performed by the terminal, the method includes: obtaining, a time-frequency resource used to transmit uplink data, where the time-frequency resource is at least one time-frequency resource block selected from a plurality of time-frequency resource blocks; each of the time-frequency resource blocks is corresponding to one piece of configuration information; and transmitting, the uplink data on the at least one selected time-frequency resource block based on configuration information of the at least one selected time-frequency resource block. The terminal may select a relatively narrow bandwidth to perform uplink transmission, to increase a transmit power of the terminal. In addition, the terminal performs the uplink transmission based on the corresponding configuration information, to further increase a transmit power. The network device perform demodulation, to improve demodulation efficiency and avoid generating a processing latency.
