Abstract: Provided is a preprocessing device that carries out a dispensing process for aspirating a liquid sample accommodated in a sample container, and subsequently discharging and dispensing the sample into another sample container, the preprocessing device comprising: a dispensing nozzle; a dispensing nozzle tip detachably provided to the distal end of the dispensing nozzle; a disposal box in which the dispensing nozzle tip is disposed of after having been removed from the dispensing nozzle; and a cutting mechanism for cutting a dispensing nozzle tip inserted into a removal part, which removes the dispensing nozzle tip from the dispensing nozzle, from the longitudinal-direction side. This makes it possible to improve accommodation efficiency while suppressing accumulation of disposed-of dispensing nozzle tips.

Abstract: Provided is a sample transport device, a sample analysis system, and a sample pretreatment device which have high positional accuracy when stopping a sample and can adjust a minute position when stopping the sample. A sample transport device (1a) according to the present invention includes: a sample provided with a permanent magnet (10); a transport path through which the sample is to be transported via the permanent magnet (10); a plurality of coils provided on a surface of the transport path opposite to a surface on which the sample is to be transported; and a drive circuit that causes a current to flow through the coils. The drive circuit adjusts a force applied to the permanent magnet in a vertical direction by a current flowing through a first coil (30B) immediately below a position at which the permanent magnet (10) is to be stopped, and adjusts a force applied to the permanent magnet (10) in a horizontal direction by a current flowing through a second coil (30C) adjacent to the first coil, and adjusts a stop position of the permanent magnet (10).

When a power supply of the device is activated, the calculation unit 40 applies a voltage pulse 80 in a positive direction and a voltage pulse 81 in a negative direction to the target coils 25a, 25b so as to detect the position of the transport container 20 from the current information of current flowing through the coils 25a, 25b.

Abstract: The present invention makes a directional control means for a specimen carrier unnecessary, reduces costs, and saves time. A high friction member 102 is provided on the bottom surface of a specimen carrier 100, thereby offsetting the center 14 of the frictional force 11 between the bottom surface and a conveyance surface, at a position separate from the rotational center of the bottom part of the specimen carrier 100. As a result, the friction between the conveyance surface and the bottom surface during conveyance of the specimen carrier 100 aligns the orientation of the specimen carrier 100 with respect to a conveyance direction 10, and makes it possible to make a carrier ID 101 and a specimen ID label 151 face towards a barcode reader.
