    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a projection apparatus capable of appropriately performing control relating to rotation of a projection lens. A projection apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a power supply; a control unit; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder, a detection unit that detects a rotation state of the holder, and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. The locking mechanism unit does not bring rotation of the holder into the locked state when a rotation state of the holder is other than a specific state. The specific state is a rotation state in which the locking mechanism unit is capable of bringing rotation of the holder into the locked state. When rotation of the holder is not brought into the locked state, the control unit disables an operation relating to the locked state or an operation of turning off the power supply.

    Abstract: There is provided a projection lens that is mounted on a housing of a projection device including an electro-optical element. The projection lens includes a first holding frame through which light emitted from the housing passes, a second reflective part that refracts an optical axis of light emitted from the first holding frame and includes a pair of side surfaces facing each other, and a second holding frame that holds the second reflective part and includes a pair of first holes provided at positions corresponding to the pair of side surfaces; and each of the pair of side surfaces has a gap between itself and the second holding frame.

A projection apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a housing; a power supply; and a projection lens attached to the housing, the projection lens having a holder and a locking mechanism unit that brings rotation of the holder into a locked state or an unlocked state. Rotation of the holder is in the locked state when the power supply has been turned on. With the first aspect, since the power is turned on in a state in which the projection lens is not rotatable, the locked state can be safely unlocked by user's intention and the holder can be rotated.

    Abstract: A projection lens has lens holding frames that hold lenses. In a case where an image forming panel is disposed to be shifted with respect to an optical axis of the projection lens, an increase in temperature of a first part on a side to which the image forming panel is shifted with respect to the optical axis L, is greater than that of a second part on the opposite side. A hollow structure, which makes the first part 36f and the second part 36g communicate with each other, has a porous layer and is filled with a heat storage medium. By circulating the heat storage medium through the inside of the hollow structure, the first part is cooled, and the second part is heated. Therefore, temperature distribution in the circumferential direction of the lens barrel becomes uniform, and deterioration in performance of the projected image is suppressed.

    Abstract: A projection unit has a zoom adjustment unit, an image-plane correction unit, a first drive unit, and a solenoid-actuator. The zoom adjustment unit enlarges or reduces a projected-image by moving a first lens group in a K direction. The image-plane correction unit performs image-plane correction on the projected-image by moving a second lens group in the K direction. The first drive unit includes a switching-gear, drives the zoom adjustment unit in a state in which the switching-gear is connected to the zoom adjustment unit, and drives the image-plane correction unit in a state in which the switching-gear is connected to the image-plane correction unit. In a case of driving one of the zoom adjustment unit and the image-plane correction unit, the solenoid-actuator switches the switching-gear from the other of the zoom adjustment unit and the image-plane correction unit to one of the zoom adjustment unit and the image-plane correction unit.
