    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for providing firmware update, which includes a state information analysis unit for analyzing device state information received from a firmware update target device and thereby acquiring information about a version of existing firmware and information about a storage unit of the firmware update target device; an image creation unit for creating a delta image in units of pages based on a flash memory page size included in the information about the storage unit and on a difference between the existing firmware and new firmware; an update information creation unit for creating update information in which an update method is specified; and a communication unit for transmitting the update information and the delta image to the firmware update target device in order to update the existing firmware of the firmware update target device based on the update method.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a dynamic memory management apparatus and a method for allocating/deallocating dynamic memory. The apparatus includes actual memory configured to allocate or deallocate a heap, virtual memory configured to set/store heap allocation information at a virtual address mapped to an actual address that is a body start address of a heap area of the actual memory, and a dynamic memory manager configured to process a memory allocation or deallocation request and the virtual memory, wherein the heap allocation information includes access authority information for storing information indicating whether a heap at an actual address is allocated or deallocated, and count information increased whenever a heap is allocated, and the dynamic memory manager is configured to return an address pointer including an actual address of a heap allocated to the actual memory and heap allocation information to the program, and process a heap deallocation or reallocation request.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for processing vehicle data security based on a cloud. The method may include requesting, by a vehicle, a cloud center device to register a cloud-based vehicle data security service; generating, by the cloud center device, cloud-based vehicle data security policies and a pseudonym for the vehicle; requesting, by the cloud center device, an authentication center to generate a pseudonym certificate for the pseudonym and receiving the pseudonym certificate; transmitting, by the cloud center device, the cloud-based vehicle data security policies, the pseudonym, and the pseudonym certificate to the vehicle; generating, by the vehicle, vehicle state information, including accident record information and driving entity information, based on the cloud-based vehicle data security policies and transmitting the same to the cloud center device; and storing, by the cloud center device, the accident record information and the driving entity information in a database for each vehicle.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a universal subscriber identification module card and a communication method using the same. The universal subscriber identification module card includes a Universal Subscriber Identification Module (USIM) chip, a pad, and a security chip. The USIM chip performs the user authentication of a mobile terminal. The pad electrically connects the USIM chip to the mobile terminal when the USIM chip is inserted into the mobile terminal. The security chip performs a security function for the mobile terminal independently of the USIM chip and shares the two power terminals of the pad with the USIM chip.
