Abstract: An air conditioner for a vehicle includes a refrigeration cycle, a heating unit and a control unit. The refrigeration cycle includes an air-conditioning evaporator, a chilling evaporator, an air-conditioning side flow path, a detour flow path and an air-conditioning flow rate adjustment unit. The control unit includes a determination unit that determines whether a condensation condition is satisfied when a refrigerant is flowing through the chilling evaporator via the detour flow path in a state where an inflow of a refrigerant into the air-conditioning evaporator is prohibited. When the determination unit determines that the condensation condition is satisfied, the control unit controls the air-conditioning flow rate adjustment unit to allow an inflow of a refrigerant into the air-conditioning evaporator as a condensation suppression operation for suppressing condensation of a refrigerant in the air-conditioning evaporator.

Abstract: A first header tank and a second header tank of a cold-storage heat exchanger are located away from each other. Refrigerant tubes include refrigerant passages through which the first header tank and the second header tank communicate with each other. The refrigerant tubes are spaced away from each other. Cold energy containers storing cold energy storage members are provided to close air passage portions defined between the refrigerant pipes. A region including the air passage portions are separated into a first region including a center part of the region and a second region that is remaining part of the region. A proportion of the cold energy containers in the second region is larger than that in the first region.

Abstract: A vehicle air conditioner includes a refrigeration cycle unit, a heater core, a cool air bypass passage, an air volume ratio regulator, and an auxiliary heat exchanger. The heater core is disposed in a heating passage located downstream of an evaporator with respect to an airflow. The auxiliary heat exchanger is provided in the refrigeration cycle unit. The evaporator includes a cold energy storage. The cold energy storage stores cold energy when the compressor is in operation, and dissipate cold energy while the compressor stops. The auxiliary heat exchanger is located downstream of the evaporator and upstream of the heater core with respect to the airflow. The auxiliary heat exchanger changes enthalpy of refrigerant by heat exchange between the refrigerant and air having been cooled by the evaporator and to be heated by the heater core.
