    Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for scheduling Ultra-Wideband (UWB) anchors and mobile devices for client ranging. A control device can determine respective ranging priorities for a plurality of mobile devices, which are each assigned to at least one UWB anchor. The control device can obtain at least one collision mapping identifying, for a respective pair of the mobile devices, a collision probability that a UWB signal associated with a ranging procedure involving a first mobile device of the respective pair will collide with a UWB signal associated with a ranging procedure involving a second mobile device of the respective pair. The control device can establish a ranging schedule for the mobile devices and UWB anchors based on the respective UWB ranging priorities and the collision mapping(s). The control device can send at least one command to cause UWB ranging procedures to be performed according to the ranging schedule.

    Abstract: Determining a device's location in a space in real time is computing intensive. To offload some of the workload in conducting this hyperlocation, the access points in the network conduct some of process in determining the location of a device. The cloud determines a restricted AoA search area based on previous client locations. After this determination, a three-dimensional (3D) AoA search is conducted by each AP in the restricted area (restricted by a range of azimuth directions) for a device. Finally, each AP reports a location(s) for the device, which comprises weights for selected angular sectors. The cloud can then construct a probability heat map for location computation from the weights provided from each AP for the device.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a plurality of wireless devices associated with the wireless network apparatus, identifying a subset of the plurality of wireless devices based on whether the wireless devices in the subset have a probability above a threshold to yield to each other via a clear channel assessment (CCA) and whether the wireless network apparatus can decode uplink signals simultaneously transmitted by the wireless devices in the subset over a common uplink resource, assigning the subset to an uplink resource, separating each wireless device in the subset to each of a plurality of groups, and transmitting, for each group, a steered downlink message indicating the assigned uplink resource for each wireless device in the group, wherein the wireless devices in each group are assigned to different uplink resources.
