    Abstract: A device for irradiating ocular tissue, including a source of electromagnetic radiation; a beacon scattering the electromagnetic radiation transmitted through an opacity in ocular tissue so as to form scattered electromagnetic radiation; a modulator transmitting output electromagnetic radiation having a field determined from a recording of the scattered electromagnetic radiation transmitted through the opacity, so that the output electromagnetic radiation is transmitted through the opacity to the beacon. The device can be used to treat amblyopia or correct optical aberrations in corneal or lens tissue.

    Abstract: Among the various aspects described herein is the provision of systems and methods of cross-ray ultrasound tomography. In some embodiments, a cross-ray ultrasound tomography system utilizes an ultrasonic emitter configured to emit one or more ultrasonic waves and an ultrasonic detector array configured to generate one or more radio frequency signals in response to detecting ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic emitter and the ultrasonic detector array are configured such that the one or more ultrasonic waves are emitted by the ultrasonic emitter at an angle to a focal plane of the ultrasonic detector array.

    Abstract: A photoacoustic imaging system is disclosed that includes an ergodic relay coupled optically to a light source configured to produce a light pulse and further coupled acoustically to a transducer. The ergodic relay is further configured to direct at least two PA signals to the transducer. Each of the at least two PA signals are produced at different positions within the field of view of the object to be imaged in response to illumination by a single light pulse. The transducer detects each of the at least two PA signals after each of at least two delays that correspond to the position at which each PA signal was produced.
