Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode synchronization information within a synchronization signal (SS) block, the SS block received within a SS burst set and occupying a subset of a plurality of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols within a slot. At least one of the symbols in the subset coincides with a pre-defined symbol location associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). A synchronization procedure can be performed with a next generation Node-B (gNB) based on the synchronization information within the SS block. The DM-RS can be detected within the slot, where the DM-RS starts at a symbol location that is shifted from the pre-defined symbol location and following the subset of symbols. Downlink data received via the PDSCH is decoded based on the detected DM-RS.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive a narrowband physical downlink control channel (NPDCCH) that includes an uplink scheduling parameter. The UE may determine an uplink scheduling delay for transmission of a narrowband physical uplink shared channel (NPUSCH) in accordance with time-division duplexing (TDD). The uplink scheduling delay may be based on a sum of a predetermined first number of subframes and a variable second number of subframes. The second number of subframes may be based on a window of variable size that starts when the first number of subframes has elapsed since reception of the NPDCCH, and ends when a number of uplink subframes has elapsed since the start of the window. The number of uplink subframes may be indicated by the uplink scheduling parameter.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are timing determination techniques for 5G radio access network (RAN) cells. According to various such techniques, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink (DL) scheduling command to schedule a DL data transmission from a base station. The UE may identify a scheduled slot for transmission of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback corresponding to the DL data transmission based on a received slot of the DL data transmission and an applicable slot offset value. The applicable slot offset value may indicate a number of slots by which the received slot precedes the scheduled slot. The applicable slot offset value may be identified from a value set based on an indicator comprised in the DL scheduling command, or may be identified using the various other techniques described herein.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system using an unlicensed spectrum. The UE includes a processor circuitry and radio front end circuitry coupled with the processor circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to determine UE processing time for a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and a second PDSCH transmission, and an additional processing time corresponding to the first and the second PDSCH transmissions. The processor circuitry is configured to process a hybrid automatic repeat and request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) assessment information for inclusion in a subframe on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) following the UE processing time and the additional processing time. The radio front end circuitry is configured to receive the first and the second PDSCH transmissions from a base station, and transmit the HARQ-ACK assessment information on the PUCCH to the base station.

To configure the UE for multi-transmission reception point (TRP) reception, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling. The RRC signaling includes configuration information configuring a plurality of transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. A media access control (MAC) control element (CE) is decoded, where the MAC CE indicates multiple active TCI states of the configured plurality of TCI states. Multiple received beams are determined using the multiple active TCI states. Downlink information is decoded, where the downlink information originates from multiple TRPs and is received via the determined multiple receive beams associated with the multiple active TCI states.
