    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for manipulating a stereoscopic display so that portions of the stereoscopic display are located at varying planes. This may be accomplished by a device comprising a plurality of microdisplays receiving a piece of three-dimensional (3D) content. The device may determine that a portion of the 3D content comprises a 3D object at a location within the 3D content. The device may then change the position of a first microdisplay according to the location of the 3D object within the 3D content. The device may display the 3D content using the plurality of microdisplays, wherein the first microdisplay displays the 3D object. The first microdisplay changing positions according to the location of the 3D object within the 3D content provides depth for rendering the 3D object at a suitable accommodation distance and reduces or eliminates the vergence-accommodation conflict for the user.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of providing an immersive virtual experience in autonomous vehicles in autonomous (e.g., self-driving) mode are disclosed. A navigation path of an autonomous vehicle is determined, the navigation path including autonomous mode segments and non-autonomous mode segments. Based on at least real-time location data of the vehicle or metadata associated with the navigation path, the vehicle is determined to enter autonomous mode for an autonomous mode segment. Based on determining that the vehicle is entering autonomous mode, a virtual journey view is initiated, causing immersive content to be displayed. A motion simulated accessory is operated based on immersive content data or the current or future motion status of the vehicle. Upon determining that the vehicle will no longer operate in autonomous mode, the transparency of the display is adjusted, causing the presentation of the immersive content to fade away while a real-world environment becomes visible.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for enabling delivery of an order to a customer's vehicle travelling along a first navigational route. The customer inputs an order, and a plurality of candidate vendors and candidate delivery locations are determined. A target delivery location and target vendor are selected from among the plurality of candidate delivery locations and candidate vendors based on optimizing one or more predetermined criteria. The order is transmitted to the target vendor, and a confirmation is received. The target delivery location is then transmitted to the customer. The customer travels to the target delivery location to pick up the order.

    Abstract: System and methods are disclosed for engaging and disengaging a regenerative braking system of a first vehicle coupled to a second vehicle. In an embodiment, a coupler (e.g., a tow bar) connects the front of a first vehicle (e.g., a towed vehicle) to the rear of a second vehicle (e.g., towing vehicle). The regenerative braking systems includes a motor-generator coupled to a wheel set of the first vehicle and a battery for storing electrical power generated by the motor-generator. The motor-generator is used to apply an accelerating force to the driven wheel set when forward acceleration is needed. The motor-generator is also used to generate electrical power by harnessing the vehicles' momentum to turn the rotor of the motor-generator, which causes a decelerating torque to be applied to the driven wheel set.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for providing consistent picture quality during live or non-live streaming of hybrid content. For example, a camera may capture a first piece of hybrid content depicting a scene. The scene may include one or more real objects (e.g., a first person conducting an interview) and a piece of content (e.g., a stream of a second person being interviewed) being displayed on a screen (e.g., television screen). A system may receive the first piece of hybrid content and the source of the piece of content being displayed within the scene. The system may then insert the source of the piece of content into the first piece of content, replacing the depiction of the piece of content, to generate a second piece of hybrid content. The second piece of hybrid content may then be transmitted to one or more devices.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are described for generating memes and enhanced content in electronic communication. The communication is received, analyzed, and assessed for determining whether the enhanced content should be included in the communication. A content, context, intent, and/or mood of the communication is determined. For meme generation implementations, images and captions are generated based on the communication. Some candidate memes incorporate an image of one of the participants in the communication. Enhanced content candidates are generated and presented to the user for inclusion in the communication. Artificial intelligence systems, including neural networks, and models are utilized to improve the enhanced content generation. Related apparatuses, devices, techniques, and articles are also described.
