An apparatus for providing multiple screens and a method of dynamically configuring multiple screens are provided. The apparatus includes a digital signal processing module which receives at least one of video information, audio information, and data information and rectories a plurality of services based on the at least one of the video information, the audio information and the data information; a service processing module which generates a display screen and a plurality of logical screens for displaying the restored services; and an output module which maps the plurality of logical screens provided by the service processing module to different locations on the display screen, wherein each of the plurality of logical screens includes at least one of a background still image, a video raster, and a graphic raster, and each of the plurality of logical screens has attribute information indicating an order of arranging the at least one of the background still image, the video raster, and the graphic raster included in the logical screen.

A method and apparatus for identifying an application in a multi-screen environment are provided. The apparatus includes a digital signal processing module which receives at least one of video information, audio information and data information, and restores a service based on the at least one of the video information, the audio information and the data information, a service processing module which generates a plurality of logical screens for displaying the restored service, and an output module which maps the plurality of logical screens provided by the service processing module to different locations on a display screen. Provided are a method and apparatus for providing and using content advisory (CA) information on Internet contents. A method of providing CA information by using a CA information server, includes receiving a request for the CA information on a content, from an Internet Protocol television (IPTV); searching for CA information on the content; and transmitting the found CA information to the IPTV. A method of using CA information when an IPTV reproduces a content not having the CA information, according to the present invention, includes transmitting a request for CA information, to a CA information server; receiving the CA information from the CA information server; analyzing the CA information; and applying the CA information.

A mobile terminal provides a broadcast receive service. More particularly, an apparatus and a method executes an application installed in advance via a channel change of a broadcast service. The apparatus includes a communication unit, a channel register unit, a channel determining unit, a memory unit, and a controller. The communication unit communicates with a remote controller to receive a control signal of the remote controller. A channel register unit registers an application installed in advance in a broadcast channel allocated to the mobile terminal to update channel information. A channel determining unit determines a channel changed by a user's remote controller manipulation. A memory unit stores channel information updated by the channel register unit. A controller processes to execute an application depending on a channel change of the remote controller. The channel determining unit determines the channel information to determine an application registered in the changed channel.

In accordance with a multiscreen configuration method of the present invention, by mutually assigning one or more broadcasting services, one or more logical screens, one or more display screens, and one or more output ports, ultimately outputting service contents which are executed on screens assigned by output ports, and setting, changing, and reporting configuration of a multiscreen, the configuration of the multiscreen may be set or reset so as to effectively output various service contents on the multiscreen by using a desired method.
