    摘要: A diaphragm type flush valve for use with toilet devices such as urinals and water closets includes a body having an inlet and an outlet, a valve seat between the inlet and outlet, and a valve movable to a closing position on the valve seat to stop the flow between the inlet and outlet. The valve member includes a diaphragm peripherally attached to the body and a disc positioned on top of the diaphragm. There is a guide extending downwardly from the diaphragm. The disc is attached to the guide and functions to secure the diaphragm, disc and guide into the valve member. The disc includes a rigid body and a seal member, with the seal member having a portion on an upper surface of the disc for sealing contact with a relief valve, and a portion on a lower surface of the disc for contact with the diaphragm. The disc is attached to the guide through a one-way clutch which permits relative rotation of the disc and guide in one direction during assembly, and prevents relative rotation in the opposite direction after assembly.

    摘要: A flush valve includes a body having an inlet and an outlet and a valve seat at the outlet. There is a piston assembly movable in the body toward and away from the valve seat to control flow from the inlet through the outlet. A pressure chamber is formed in the body above the piston assembly, at least in part by a cover attached to the body. Pressure in the pressure chamber normally maintains the piston assembly closed upon the valve seat. There is a relief valve in the piston assembly for venting the pressure chamber to the outlet, permitting the piston assembly to move away from the valve seat to open flow through the outlet. There is an adjustment assembly located in the flush valve cover which permits adjustment of piston assembly stroke. The adjustment assembly includes a housing mounted in the cover, a sleeve axially movable in the housing, and an adjustment element for causing movement of the sleeve.

    摘要: An electronic faucet sensor assembly includes a base having a pair of openings facing in a generally downward direction when the assembly is mounted in an electronically operated faucet. There is an infrared transmitter positioned in one of the openings and an infrared receiver positioned in the other opening. There is a lens mounted to the base and covering the transmitter and a second lens mounted to the base and covering the receiver. Electrical lead wires are attached to the transmitter and to the receiver and the lead wires extend through a channel located in the base. There is a strain relief at one end of the channel and there is a rib to isolate the leads extending between the strain relief and the transmitter and receiver so as to prevent electrical contact therebetween. The channel is filled with a potting compound to provide a watertight environment for the electrical components.

    摘要: The time period that a foot is in contact with the ground during a stride taken by a user, and the period that the foot is not in contact with the ground between strides taken by the user are determined by processing and analyzing the output signal of an accelerometer. The accelerometer is mounted on the user such that its acceleration sensing axis senses acceleration in a direction substantially parallel to the bottom of the user's foot. The output of the accelerometer is high-pass filtered, amplified, and fed to the input of a micro-controller, which monitors the signal for positive and negative signal spikes that are indicative, respectively, of the moment that the foot of the user leaves the ground and the moment that the foot impacts with the ground. By measuring time intervals between these positive and negative spikes, average "foot contact times" and "foot loft times" of the user may be calculated. To derive the pace of the user, the average foot contact time is multiplied by a first constant if it is less than 400 milli-seconds (ms) and is multiplied by a second constant if it is greater than 400 ms. This pace value may, in turn, be used to calculate the distance traveled by the user.
