Abstract:
A liquid level detecting device includes a resistor plate having conductive segments, a float that vertically moves in accordance with a displacement of a liquid level, a float arm that has one end to which the float is attached and the other end which is rotatably supported so as to be rotated in association with a vertical movement of the float, and a contact point that slides on the conductive segments in association with a rotation of the float arm. Each of the conductive segments is formed of a first metallic material and a second metallic material. The first metallic material has silver (Ag) and palladium (Pd) and the second metallic material has gold (Au) as a main component. A part which is to be brought into contact with the contact point in each of the conductive segments is formed of the second metallic material.
Abstract:
A solid-state imaging device and a camera system are provided. The solid-state imaging device capable of performing an intermittent operation includes a pixel unit and a pixel signal readout unit for reading out a pixel signal from the pixel unit in units of a plurality of pixels for each column. The pixel signal readout circuit includes a plurality of comparators and a plurality of counters whose operations are controlled by outputs of the comparators. Each of the comparators includes an initializing switch for determining an operating point for each column at a start of row operation, and is configured so that an initialization signal to be applied to the initializing switch is controlled independently in parallel only a basic unit of the initialization signal used for a horizontal intermittent operation, and the initializing switch is held in an off-state at a start of non-operating row.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes: a region detection section which detects a candidate region in which a structure having a predetermined shape is estimated to exist from an image a border pixel detection section which detects a border of the candidate region; a region setting section which sets a local region in the vicinity of and both sides of the border; a feature value calculation section which calculates predetermined feature values based on predetermined values obtained for respective pixel units of the local regions; a discrimination value calculation section which calculates a discrimination value based on calculation results of the predetermined feature values in local region groups on one side and the other side when viewed from the border; and a candidate region correction section which corrects a detection result of a candidate region based on a calculation result of the discrimination value.

The disclosure relates to methods of managing blood coagulation and pharmaceutical compositions related thereto. In certain embodiments, the disclosure relates to methods of managing the coagulation of blood in a patient undergoing surgery comprising administering combinations of a direct thrombin inhibitor and a coagulation factor inhibitor. In some embodiments, the disclosure relates to treating or preventing clotting by administering compositions disclosed herein to a subject at risk for, exhibiting symptoms of, or diagnosed with a blood clot.
Abstract:
An image heating device includes a rotatable image heating member for heating an image on a recording material and for forming a nip; a blowing member for blowing air; and an ejecting member for ejecting air to separate the recording material passing through the nip from said image heating member, the ejecting member ejecting the air from the blowing member toward the image heating member so that a speed of the air toward an end portion of the image heating member is higher than that of the air toward a central portion of the image heating member with respect to a rotational axis direction of the image heating member.
Abstract:
The change in a contact over time is stabilized by lowering intense wear of the contact in the initial sliding stage and imparting stabilized wear characteristics from the initial sliding stage. The contacts (33, 34) of a sliding body (30) have flat tops which contact conductive segments (23) and come into surface contact with the top portions of the conductive segments (23) when the contacts slidingly contact onto the conductive segments (23).
Abstract:
A tape 3, 4 with a zipper member and a bag film 5, 6 are continuously moved by rotation of a rotary drum 32 while being overlaid with each other such that the tape 3, 4 travels in a tape introducing groove 33 for a tape with a zipper member, the groove formed along a circumferential direction of the rotary drum 32. The tape 3, 4 with the zipper member is continuously welded to the bag film 5, 6 on a circumferential surface of the rotary drum 32 by a seal bar 35 that has a welding surface 34 in a curved shape corresponding to a circumferential surface shape of the rotary drum 32. The whole tape 3, 4 with the zipper member is accommodated in the tape introducing groove 33 for the tape with the zipper member and a seal surface of a tape body 31, 41 is adapted to be substantially flush with the circumferential surface of the rotary drum 32, so that heat applied from the seal bar 35 to the tape 3, 4 with the zipper member is restrained from transferring to the rotary drum 32.
Abstract:
A belt-shaped base of a female member of a zipper tape attached to an inner surface of a bag body has a wide portion that extends wider toward an opening of the bag body than a belt-shaped base of the male member. An open tape is disposed on the wide portion and a seal layer is laminated on a surface of the open tape. A first projecting portion is also provided on the wide portion. A second projecting portion is provided on an opening-side end of the belt-shaped base. The projecting portions have a substantially trapezoidal cross section. When the zipper tape is bonded to the bag body and is sealed by the seal layer, a gap is provided between the open tape and the first and the second projecting portions.
