Abstract:
A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) includes: a panel assembly having a first substrate, and a second substrate coupled to the first substrate; a chassis base coupled to the panel assembly, and supporting the panel assembly; and a foam adhesive member interposed between the panel assembly and the chassis base, and dissipating heat produced from the panel assembly. Since the porous foam adhesive member is interposed between the panel assembly and the chassis base, heat dissipation efficiency can be improved and image retention on a screen can be minimized.
Abstract:
A central control system includes a plurality of air conditioners and a central control unit connected to the air conditioners over a network. The air conditioners are installed in rooms of a building to provide air conditioning in the rooms. The central control unit receives a control command for monitoring and controlling each of the air conditioners, and adjusts an operating schedule of each of the air conditioners to limit total peak power consumption of the air conditioners in operation below a reference power value. The central control unit controls the operation of each of the air conditioners based on the adjusted operating schedule. When the total peak power consumption exceeds the reference power value, the central control unit prevents the entire air conditioning system from shutting down, which improves stability of the air conditioning system and decreases electricity costs for air conditioning.
Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting a pipe length in an air conditioning system includes a detector to detect a signal traveled through a pipe and a first impedance coupler that couples to one end of the pipe, where the detector detects the signal traveled through the pipe at the first impedance coupler. A processor determines a pipe length based on the detected signal and a signal generator generates the signal to be sent through the pipe. A second impedance coupler couples to another end of the pipe, where the signal generator sends the signal to the pipe through the second impedance coupler.
Abstract:
An integrated management system for controlling multi-type air conditioners can reduce a communication load by transmitting only changed operation state information among operation state information related to at least one air conditioner system which is disposed in a room or office and is being operated.
Abstract:
An apparatus for adjusting a fixing pressure of an image forming apparatus is provided. The apparatus for adjusting the fixing pressure includes a pair of pressing members to rotatably support an axis of a first roller from both ends and to rotate about a hinge shaft to cause the first roller to press against a second roller, a pair of hinge cams to move the hinge shaft of the pair of pressing members in either of two directions, a driving unit to rotate the pair of hinge cams, and a control unit to control the driving unit to adjust the position of the hinge shaft.

An apparatus for detecting a pipe length in an air conditioning system includes a detector to detect a signal traveled through a pipe; and a processor to determine a pipe length based on the detected signal.
Abstract:
A plasma display device is provided having a plasma display panel, a chassis base arranged substantially parallel to the plasma display panel, a tape bonding the plasma display panel to the chassis base, and a radiative sheet interposed between and adhering to the plasma display panel and the chassis base. The radiative sheet is of material having a layered crystal structure. The layered crystal structure is arranged to extend at an angle from the plasma display panel. The angle is not horizontal/parallel to a surface of the plasma display panel.
Abstract:
An integrated management system having at least one air conditioner group including a plurality of air conditioners, and a remote integrated management system connected to the at least one air conditioner group and configured to analyze operation state information related to the plurality of air conditioners in the at least one air conditioner group and to generate an alarm signal based on the analyzed operation state information.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a central control system for multi-type air conditioners and an operating method thereof. In the central control system, multi-type air conditioners comprise a large number of indoor devices and a small number of outdoor devices, and a central controller is coupled to the multi-type air conditioners over a network. The central controller transmits a control graphic user interface (GUI) program provided therein to the remote control device so that an integrated control operation for respective air conditioners can be carried out. The central controller adjusts a transmission time of the control command signal received from the remote control device and transmits the control command signal to a corresponding air conditioner according to a result of the adjustment so that signal collision can be avoided. As the multi-type air conditioners installed within a building can be centrally controlled and efficiently managed, and control command signals from control devices coupled to the central controller over an internal/external network are transmitted to corresponding air conditioners, a control operation can be reliably performed.
Abstract:
A central control system controls peak power of multiple air conditioners that includes indoor units installed in rooms of a building and an outdoor unit for controlling refrigerant circulation. A central controller is connected to the multiple air conditioners via a network to perform central control or monitoring of operations of the air conditioners. The central controller performs peak power control if current power consumption of the air conditioners, calculated based on operating states thereof, exceeds a previously input reference management power value. A signal converter is connected between the multiple air conditioners and the central controller to perform mutual conversion of different protocol signals communicated between the multiple air conditioners and the central controller. This decreases excessive electricity costs due to excessive power consumption while approximately maintaining cooling/heating efficiencies, and also prevents the entire power of the building from being cut off.
