Abstract:
An electronic device with an alarm clock function includes a storage unit storing an alarm time, audio files and related information; an audio playing module for randomly playing an audio file via an audio output unit which matches the alarm time; an option generating module for generating and outputting preset number options, at least one of them containing the related information of the playing audio file; a comparison module for receiving inputs and determining whether the input matches the related information of the playing audio file; a managing unit for disabling the alarm clock function when the input matches the related information. A method of controlling the alarm clock function is also provided.
Abstract:
An anti-counterfeiting electronic device includes a function component assigned with an identification code ID and a processor. The processor generates a random code K1 and transmits the random code K1 to the function component; the function component encrypts the random code K1 and the identification code ID to generate a key ID1. The processor further obtains the key ID1 from the function component and decrypts the key ID1 to generate an identification code ID2, and determines whether the identification code ID2 is the same as the ID and executes the system login command if the identification code ID2 is the same as the identification code ID. An anti-counterfeiting method is also provided.
Abstract:
An electronic reader system includes an electronic book and a stylus. The electronic book includes a battery and a cover. The stylus includes a pen body for writing on the electronic book to input data or commands into the electronic book, and an illumination member detachably attached to the pen body. The illumination member can be detached from the pen body and attached onto the electronic book, receiving electrical power from the book as it does so, to illuminate the electronic book.
Abstract:
A battery charger includes a base, a plug formed on the base and electrically connected to an external power source, an interface formed on the base and electrically connecting an external device, a clamp formed on the base and fixing and electrically connecting a battery, and a controller embedded in the base and electrically connected to the plug, the clamp, and the interface. The controller is able to boost the battery voltage to a rated charging voltage of the external device and conducting the voltage to the interface to charge the external device.
Abstract:
A rechargeable battery checker for measuring the voltage of a rechargeable battery includes a PMIC, a charging switch, a voltage measuring switch, and a control circuit. The charging switch is connected to a charging terminal of the PMIC and the rechargeable battery, to control the PMIC to charge or pause charging the rechargeable battery. The voltage measuring switch is connected to a voltage measuring terminal of the PMIC and the rechargeable battery, to control the PMIC to measure or pause measuring the voltage of the rechargeable battery. The control circuit connects to the charging switch and the voltage measuring switch, and to output a modulated signal, and periodically change the signal to switch on/off the charging switch and the voltage measuring switch. The PMIC determines whether the rechargeable battery is fully charged according to the measured voltage of the rechargeable battery.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus capable of saving power is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a buffer, a central processing unit (CPU), and a power supply unit. The power supply unit includes a mechanical switch circuit, a first switch circuit, and a second switch circuit. The first switch circuit is capable of being turned on by the mechanical switch circuit to receive power from a power input port and providing power to the buffer. The second switch circuit is capable of being turned on by the mechanical switch circuit to receive power from the power input port through the first switch circuit and providing power to the CPU, and the CPU being operable to generate a control signal to turn off the second switch circuit to interrupt the power provided to the CPU.
Abstract:
A touch screen system includes a touch screen corresponding to a Descartes coordinate system XOY, a first image capturing unit, a second capturing unit, and a processing unit. The first image capturing unit and the second capturing unit are arranged at the periphery of the touch screen and are substantially perpendicular to each other. Both the two image capturing units include a camera and a housing, the camera is housed in the housing to take images, an optical axis of the lens of each camera is perpendicular to X or Y axis of the system XOY respectively for acquiring images including one touch point. The processing unit identifies a touched point on the touch screen and determines X and Y coordinates of the touched point in the system XOY and executing a function corresponding to the X and Y coordinates of the touched point.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an image display apparatus and an image display method adapted for the apparatus. The apparatus stores a plurality of image files and metadata of each of the image files, and provides current timestamp. The metadata for each image includes an upload timestamp, a last-displayed timestamp, and a weighted value. A load-timestamp period is a time difference between the current timestamp and the upload timestamp. A not-displayed timestamp period is also a difference in time between the current timestamp and the last-displayed timestamp. The weighted value is calculated according to the load-timestamp period and the not-displayed timestamp period. The apparatus displays selected image files in accordance with the weighted values of the selected image files in an order. The present invention also provides a method of displaying image files adapted for the image display apparatus.
