    摘要: An electrostatographic imaging member having a charge-retentive surface and a substrate, an imaging layer to receive an electrostatic latent image thereon, wherein the imaging layer is positioned on one side of the substrate, and an anti-curl backing layer positioned on the substrate on a side opposite to that of the imaging layer, wherein the anti-curl backing layer has a polymer binder and lignin sulfonic acid doped polyaniline, and an image forming apparatus having the above imaging member or photoreceptor to receive an electrostatic latent image on a charge-retentive surface of the photoreceptor or imaging member; a development component to apply toner to the charge-retentive surface to develop the electrostatic latent image to form a developed image on the charge-retentive surface; a transfer member to transfer the developed image from the charge-retentive surface to a copy substrate; and a fixing component to fuse the developed image to the copy substrate.

The charge transport layer includes a first charge transport layer adjacent the charge generating layer and at least a second charge transport layer adjacent the first charge transport layer. Each charge transport layer includes a film forming polymer binder and a charge transport material dispersed therein. The first charge transport material has a composition which is the same or different than the second charge transport material and of a lower concentration. It may be selected from an aryl amine, aryl diamine, or combinations thereof. The combination has the effect of reducing charge deficient spots.

By increasing the concentration of the charge transport compound to a level of from about 55 weight percent or more, including from about 55 weight percent to about 70 weight percent, and from about 55 weight percent to about 65 weight percent, a flexible imaging member can be produced with reduced residual voltage and/or improved sensitivity. Furthermore, the fatigue cracking resistance of the charge transport layer can be improved through the implementation of a heat stress release process described more particularly herein.

    摘要: An imaging member having a charge transport layer is provided. The charge transport layer includes a plurality of charge transport layers coated from solutions of similar or different compositions or concentrations, wherein the upper or additional transport layer(s) comprise a lower concentration of charge transport compound than the first (bottom) charge transport layer. The charge transport compound included in the first (bottom) charge transport layer may either be the same or different from that included in the additional charge transport layers. The charge transport compound in one or more of the layers is dissolved or molecularly dispersed in an electrically inactive polymer material to form a solid solution. In such a construction, the resulting charge transport layer exhibits enhanced cracking suppression, improves wear resistance, provides excellent imaging member electrical performance, and delivers improved print quality.
