The light source outputs an optical beam that will generate an elliptically shaped beam spot on the screen, the beam spot having a major axis substantially perpendicular to a scanning direction, and the light source is driven with pulse width modulation (PWM) so that one driven pulse corresponds to one beam spot on the screen.

摘要： Cooling air conveyed through a cooling duct 3 is supplied to a discharge lamp 10 via a cooling air exit 21 having a plurality of flow paths 23a to 23c partitioned by a partition plate 22. An air flow direction changeover section 24 changes a flow path through which the discharge lamp is supplied with the cooling air from the cooling air exit. An air flow blocking ball 25 in the air flow direction changeover section moves by its own weight through a guide portion 26 to thereby block the flow path of the cooling air exit. This allows the cooling air to be directed specifically toward an upper side 11a in a direction of gravity of a lamp bulb of the discharge lamp to eliminate a temperature difference, even if a mounting style of the discharge lamp is varied among desk mounting, ceiling mounting, and vertical mounting.

摘要： A storage system having a plurality of optical disc devices allows other optical disc devices inside the storage system to reproduce the optical disc recorded by a certain optical disc device but inhibits optical disc devices outside the storage system to reproduce the optical disc. A device key as a base for generating an encryption key is common to the plurality of optical disc devices. In the optical disc devices, a guest key other than the device key can be used temporarily to generate the encryption key. An authentication list containing a reproduction condition is recorded with the key information to the optical disc.

The cable or a repeater device uses changes the type of a message while using the same physical address as the source device or use such a message having the physical address information of the source device is described in a parameter of the message using the unknown physical address. The message having a supply or reception current for each device described therein is exchanged with the sink device or the source device to adjust current reception.
