Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to communicate with NTN base station(s) more efficiently to improve NTN positioning. In one aspect, a UE communicates with at least one TN base station via a first set of PFLs for a UE positioning session. The UE communicates with at least one NTN base station via a second set of PFLs for the UE positioning session, the second set of PFLs being different from the first set of PFLs. In another aspect, a UE measures a first RS that is transmitted from a base station via a wide beam, the wide beam having a coverage over an area. The UE measures at least one second RS that is transmitted from the base station via at least one narrow beam based on the first RS being successfully decoded, each of the at least one narrow beam covering a portion of the area.

The assistance data may comprise, with respect to the at least one NTN NG-RAN node: a beam footprint corresponding to one or more reference signals transmitted by the NTN NG-RAN node, a time and frequency offset corresponding to one or more reference signals transmitted by the NTN NG-RAN node, ephemeris information, polarization information, Doppler range information, or delay and Doppler information of a link between the at least one NTN NG-RAN node and a reference point, or a combination thereof.

The different resources are associated with a reference signal. The phase measurement request includes properties of one or more pairs of subcarrier sets of at least one reference signal received by the UE. A subcarrier set includes at least one subcarrier. The process can further include transmitting a phase measurement report to the network entity. The phase measurement report includes information associated with a phase measurement performed using at least one subcarrier set pair of the at least one reference signal based on the properties included in the phase measurement request.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enhance the security of UWB ranging, thereby improving the accuracy and reliability of the UWB ranging. In one aspect, a first wireless device embeds first information for generating a secure sequence of a ranging message in a payload section of the ranging message. The first wireless device generates the secure sequence based at least in part on the first information. The first wireless device transmits the ranging message including the secure sequence and the payload section for a second wireless device. In another aspect, a second wireless device receives a ranging message from a first wireless device that includes a first secure sequence and a payload section. The second wireless device generates a second secure sequence based on information embedded in the payload section of the ranging message.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) is disclosed and includes determining a position of the UE based on a first positioning synchronization source; pre-configuring a first sidelink coordination group for use by the UE prior to an occurrence of one or more first triggering events, wherein the first sidelink coordination group uses a second positioning synchronization source that is different than the first positioning synchronization source; and in response to a determination that the one or more first triggering events has occurred, transitioning to use of the first sidelink coordination group for determining the position of the UE.
