    Abstract: Enabling Ethernet Header Compression (EHC) for use with data sent within a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) control plane of a wireless communication network. In one aspect, a wireless communication device sends a signal to a wireless communication network indicating the device supports EHC for data transfer over a control plane. The device obtains a response from the wireless communication network indicating the wireless communication network supports EHC for data transfer over the control plane. The device then sends an Ethernet packet compressed using EHC to the wireless communication network over the control plane. The wireless communication device may be configured to send a request to the wireless communication network to use EHC before sending the Ethernet packet compressed using EHC. The device then sends the compressed Ethernet packet only if the request is granted. In another aspects, complementary EHC features are provided within a network component of the wireless communication network.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support transmitting a network coded combined message to a second wireless device that may have missed at least one sidelink message included in another network coded combined message. A first wireless device may identify that the sidelink messages are configured for network coding based on information associated with the sidelink messages. Control information associated with the network coded combined message may indicate that the network coded message is a network coded combined retransmission of the sidelink messages, and may further include information identifying the sidelink messages and devices that transmitted the sidelink messages. The first wireless device may combine the sidelink messages into the network coded combined message and may transmit the control information and the associated network coded combined sidelink message to the second wireless device, which may support decoding of one or more missed sidelink messages.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a sidelink bandwidth part configuration for a plurality of sidelink carriers, wherein the sidelink bandwidth part configuration configures one or more sidelink bandwidth parts for each sidelink carrier of the plurality of sidelink carriers.     Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for layer 2 relay user equipment (UE) mobility. A relay UE relays data between a first network entity and a remote UE based on a first configuration of the remote UE. The relay UE may receive, from the first network entity on a first connection, a handover request that includes a second configuration for a second network entity or a third configuration for the remote UE. The relay UE determines whether dual active protocol stack radio link control channels are configured for the remote UE based on the first configuration or the third configuration. The relay UE establishes a second connection with the second network entity based on the second configuration, and transmits, to the remote UE, a handover status indicating a result of establishing the second connection with the second network entity.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) procedures for blind sidelink retransmissions. A first device may obtain a set of sidelink communication parameters that are associated with a second device. Based at least in part on the set of sidelink communication parameters, the first device may transmit to the second device a sidelink blind retransmission configuration. This configuration may include enablement of sidelink blind retransmission and/or establishment of a number of sidelink blind retransmissions. Other aspects, examples, and features are also claimed and described.
