    Abstract: A method is presented. The method includes organizing a scene as a number of bounding volumes in a hierarchical data structure. The method also includes generating a grid based on the hierarchical data structure. The method further includes mapping each node of the hierarchical data structure to at least one cell of the grid. The method additionally includes identifying a cell of the grid corresponding to an initial intersection location of a ray and the scene. The method still further includes determining a non-root node of the hierarchical data structure as a start node for traversing the hierarchical data structure based on the identified cell. The method also includes traversing the hierarchical data structure starting from the start node to identify a number a primitives intersected by the ray.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining a helper UE group to facilitate communications with a target using sidelinks. A helper UE may determine a sidelink channel correlation with at least one other UE, report to a base station channel diversity information, UE state information, UE traffic pattern information, sidelink channel measurements, and the determined sidelink channel correlation; and receive an indication from the gNB if the UE is a member of a helper UE group. A base station may transmit a control message to at least one UE; receive a report comprising sidelink channel correlation information, sidelink channel diversity information, and UE state information, from each of the at least one UE, in response to transmitting the control message; and determine a helper UE group based on the received report.

    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus may transmit a supported configuration of the UE for at least one of SRS transmission or CSI-RS reception for communication with a plurality of TRPs. The apparatus may receive, in response to transmitting the supported configuration, configuration information for at least one of the SRS transmission or the CSI-RS reception, wherein the configuration information is generated based on the supported configuration. The apparatus may communicate, with at least a subset of the plurality of TRPs, using at least one of the SRS transmission or the CSI-RS reception on resource elements assigned based on the configuration information. A base station connected to the TRPs may use the SRS/CSI-RS for cluster management and scheduling or to estimate downlink channels to determine precoding for downlink transmissions.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in communication with a base station may utilize multiple code word (MCW) transmissions within a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. An original transmission has a first transport block allocated to a first code word and a second transport block allocated to a second code word. Each transport block includes multiple code blocks grouped into code block groups. The UE receives a negative acknowledgement indicating that a subset of the code block groups were not successfully received. The UE retransmits the subset of the code block groups on at least one of the first code word or the second code word in a retransmission in the HARQ process. At least one code block is retransmitted on a different code word in the retransmission than in the original transmission.
