The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for virtualizing an antenna. A method for communicating using a virtual antenna of a terminal in the wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: configuring one or more virtual antennas according to an antenna virtualization pattern that is determined based on information indicating a movement status of the terminal and/or information indicating a communication status of the terminal; and communicating with the base station by using the one or more virtual antennas, wherein one or more physical antennas that are mapped to the one or more virtual antennas can be determined base on the direction of movement of the terminal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method in which a signal is transmitted between a base station and a terminal in a multi-antenna wireless communication system. The method transmits pre-estimated channel information to the terminal when the terminal moves to a specific position when channel estimation for a specific position is performed. As for the terminal which moves along a fixed route or the route of which can be estimated, the position of the terminal in the near future can be easily detected. Therefore, the transception of channel information can be performed in a more efficient manner in consideration of the above-described special environment.

A method for performing handover at a mobile terminal which moves along an established path in a wireless communication system includes transmitting an indicator indicating a handover type to a serving base station without performing measurement with respect to neighboring base stations and movement path information and transmitting current position information of the mobile terminal to the serving base station.

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and a device for updating system information in a wireless LAN system. The method for updating system information in a station (STA) of a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprising: allowing the STA to transmit, to an access point (AP), a probe request frame that includes a change sequence field which is set to a value of a change sequence field stored in the STA, if a value of a change sequence field received from the AP is different from the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA; and allowing the STA to receive, from the AP, a probe response frame which responds to the probe request frame that includes the change sequence field, wherein the probe request frame is a short probe request frame.

A method for estimating a location of a mobile station includes transmitting a position request signal, including at least departure time information or an identifier of the mobile station, to an AP by synchronizing with the AP, receiving first position information, including at least a calculated first location of the mobile station or a calculated first distance between the mobile station and the AP and departure time information of a position response signal, from the AP, calculating a ToA of a signal between the mobile station and the AP based on the departure time information of the position response signal, calculating at least a second distance between the mobile station and the AP or a second location of the mobile station using the ToA, and determining a final location of the mobile station based on the first position information and at least the second distance or the second location.

A method for a station (STA) accessing a channel may comprise: a step of the STA receiving an access distribution element through a passive scanning frame; the STA selecting an access random variable based on the access distribution element; a step of the STA determining a minimum value of a passive scanning-specific competition window based on the access random variable; and the STA accessing the channel based on a backoff time that is determined based on the passive scanning-specific competition window.

One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method whereby a station (STA) which is irrelevant to a multi user (MU) group performs channel access in a wireless communication system, the method for performing channel access comprising the steps of: receiving a resource allocation frame; and checking a group indicator field comprised in the resource allocation frame, wherein the STA determines a slot start offset through the first bit of a slot allocation field for the MU group in case the group indicator field indicates the presence of the slot allocation field for the MU group in the resource allocation frame.

A method and apparatus for transmitting an uplink signal in a wireless communication system are disclosed. A transmission apparatus for receiving an uplink (UL) signal from a user equipment (UE) and transmitting the received UL signal to a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system includes: a plurality of reception antennas configured to receive UL signals from the UE; a radio frequency (RF) repeater configured to amplify and map the received UL signals to at least one transmission antenna; and a plurality of transmission antennas configured to transmit the amplified UL signals to the BS, wherein the RF repeater is configured to select M received UL signals from among a plurality of received UL signals which are received in the plurality of reception antennas, and map the M received UL signals to N transmission antennas from among the plurality of transmission antennas, and the number of the reception antennas (Nrx,REP) is higher than the number of the transmission antennas (Ntx,REP), and N is the number of the transmission antennas which is used to transmit the M received UL signals.
