An embodiment of the present invention discloses a method and device for managing a forwarding plane tunnel resource, wherein the method includes: sending a forwarding plane tunnel resource request message to a forwarding plane device, for enabling the forwarding plane device to allocate a forwarding plane tunnel resource according to the forwarding plane tunnel resource request message; acquiring the allocated forwarding plane tunnel resource from the forwarding plane device; and sending the acquired forwarding plane tunnel resource to a target network element, to establish a packet data network connection with the target network element. By adopting the present invention, the load balancing of the forwarding plane device is achieved, the signaling interaction between the control plane device and the forwarding plane device is reduced as much as possible, and meanwhile, efficient failure processing can also be achieved in the case of a failure occurred in a device.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a charging information processing method and a gateway device. The method includes sending, to a gateway forwarding plane, a charging information identification set used for identifying charging information, saving first charging information sent by the gateway forwarding plane, where the first charging information carries a first charging information identification, which is an element in the charging information identification set, receiving second charging information sent by the gateway forwarding plane and saved by the gateway forwarding plane, where the second charging information carries a second charging information identification, which is an element in the charging information identification set, and combining the first charging information and the second charging information according to the first charging information identification and the second charging information identification. In this way, a disaster recovery capability can be effectively improved and charging reliability can be ensured.

This application discloses a method for implementing a software-defined network (SDN), including: receiving, by an SDN controller, virtual network information sent by a cloud computing platform, where the virtual network information includes a correspondence between information about a virtual machine (VM) and information about a server running the VM. The method also includes acquiring, by the SDN controller, physical network information, where the physical network information includes a correspondence between information about a top-of-rack (TOR) switch and the information about the server. Additionally, the method includes acquiring, by the SDN controller, a correspondence between the information about the VM and the information about the TOR switch according to the virtual network information and the physical network information.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and a device for processing a communication path. The method includes: obtaining a path processing parameter from local configuration information or from a control layer device, obtaining path information and/or a restarting counter parameter from the control layer device; increasing a path with an opposite-end device when the path information is of increasing a path, identifying the state of the path and/or the state of the opposite-end device using the path processing parameter and/or the restarting counter parameter the opposite-end device; reporting the fault state of the path and/or the reset state of the opposite-end device to the control layer device when the path fails and/or the opposite-end device is reset, releasing sessions on the failed path and/or on a path connected with the reset opposite-end device.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of communications technologies and disclose a data flow processing method, a device, and a system, thereby solving a problem of operation interruption caused because a switch device is incapable of processing a corresponding user packet by using a received flow entry that is sent in advance by a control device, and improving working efficiency between network devices. The method includes: sending a request message to a control device, where the request message includes an action parameter requested by a switch device, and a to-be-processed packet or an identifier of a to-be-processed packet; receiving packet processing information that is sent according to the request message by the control device; and executing, according to the packet processing information, an operation corresponding to the to-be-processed packet. The embodiments of the present invention are applied in communications application technologies.

The present invention discloses a protocol processing method applied when control is decoupled from forwarding, a control plane device, and a forwarding plane device. The method includes: causing a control plane device to send an indication to a forwarding plane device according to a processing manner of a packet service processing protocol, and to deliver a negotiation parameter of the packet service processing protocol to the forwarding plane device; and causing the control plane device to receive a negotiation result of the packet service processing protocol, and to create a data path between a user equipment and a network device. The negotiation result is uploaded by the forwarding plane device and obtained according to information that includes the negotiation parameter of the packet service processing protocol.
