Abstract: A method of wirelessly communicating a packet includes generating, at a first wireless device, a first packet including a first preamble decodable by a plurality of devices and a second preamble decodable by only a subset of the plurality of devices. The first preamble includes a first signal field. The second preamble includes a first training field. The method further includes transmitting the first packet concurrently with one or more second packets to be transmitted by wireless devices other than the first wireless device.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for efficiently managing groups of stations (STAs) receiving simultaneous transmissions in a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) scheme. One example method generally includes; for a first apparatus in a number of groups of apparatuses, allocating a first spatial stream position for each of at least one first group in the number of the groups; and transmitting a first unicast message to the first apparatus, wherein the first unicast message comprises an indication of the allocated spatial stream position for each of the at least one first group and, for each group in the number of the groups, an indication of a membership status, in the group, of the first apparatus.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides various aspects related to techniques for generating trigger frames, at an access point (AP), that reduce the overhead associated with triggering an uplink transmission from the wireless station (STA). Features of the present disclosure achieve this by, for example, utilizing a single per-user information field of the trigger to signal a plurality of random access resource units that may be allocated to the one or more STAs in the network. Such a technique is an improvement over the conventional system that require each random access resource unit to be signaled separately in a separate per-user information field (thus increasing the overhead). Additionally, aspects of the present disclosure allow the AP to effectively signal to the STA whether the one or more resources allocated to the at least one STA are a single user resource unit allocation or a multi-user resource unit allocation.

The method includes receiving a trigger frame from an access point, the trigger frame being transmitted to two or more stations and indicating an uplink transmission opportunity. The trigger frame further includes a request for the two or more stations to concurrently transmit uplink data at a specific time. The method includes transmitting uplink data at the specific time to the access point concurrently with another of the two or more stations transmitting uplink data to the access point.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication are disclosed herein. One aspect of the disclosure provides a method of transmitting to two or more wireless communication devices. The method includes transmitting a first section of a preamble according to a first format, the first section of the preamble containing information informing devices compatible with the first format to defer to the transmission, transmitting a second section of the preamble according to a second format, the second section of the preamble containing tone allocation information, the tone allocation information identifying two or more wireless communication devices; and transmitting data to the two or more wireless communication devices simultaneously, the data contained on two or more sub-bands.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may identify a transmission mode for transmission of an input signal to be transmitted. The input signal may thus be modulated according to the identified transmission mode, and the modulated signal may then be transmitted at some power level to produce a transmitted signal having a spectral envelope. In some cases, the spectral envelope may be defined in terms of a power spectral density (PSD) of the transmitted waveform. The PSD may generally define the power of the waveform signal distributed over frequencies of the waveform. Further, the wireless device may control the modulation of the input signal, in addition to the power level of the input signal, to maintain the spectral envelope to be within a spectral mask defined for the implemented transmission mode as well as to conform to spectral flatness parameters.

The method comprises receiving a first wireless message from an access point indicating an uplink transmission opportunity and a target transmission duration for each of a plurality of user terminals including a first user terminal. The method also comprises changing a planned transmission duration of a second wireless message from the first user terminal to fit the target transmission duration. The method also comprises transmitting the second wireless message from the first user terminal over the target transmission duration.

In some aspects, a second portion of the first message is transmitted according to the second format, and contains second information intended for the second set of wireless communication devices compatible with the second format. In some aspects, this information may comprise at least one of a list of identifiers, a set of parameters for estimating the channel state information estimation, and uplink transmission allocation information.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling medium reservation information medium sharing among multiple radio technologies (RATs) are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a reservation signal to reserve a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a spectrum. The spectrum is shared by multiple RATs. The reservation signal includes a plurality of first waveform sequences indicating medium reservation information detectable by the multiple RATs. The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with a first RAT of the multiple RATs. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device using the first RAT, a communication signal in the spectrum during the TXOP.
