Abstract: Method and apparatus to determine a sidelink beam and associated power control parameter for sidelink communication. The apparatus initiates a beam pairing with a second UE, the first UE being a transmitting UE and the second UE being a receiving UE. The apparatus identifies a sidelink beam from a plurality of sidelink beams and at least one power control parameter for sidelink communication with the second UE. Different sidelink beams use different power control parameters. The apparatus communicates with the second UE via a selected sidelink beam and the at least one power control parameter.

The shift may configure an alignment of a sidelink interface DRX Active state start time (or the network access interface DRX Active state start time) with the network access interface DRX Active state start time (or the sidelink interface DRX Active state start time). The network access interface DRX (or sidelink interface DRX) slot offset value may be transmitted to the receiver UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for hierarchical communications and low latency support within a wireless communications system. An eNB and/or a UE may be configured to operate within the wireless communications system which is at least partially defined through a first layer with first layer transmissions having a first subframe type and a second layer with second layer transmissions having a second subframe type. The first subframe type may have a first round trip time (RTT) between transmission and acknowledgment of receipt of the transmission, and the second layer may have a second RTT that is less than the first RTT. Subframes of the first subframe type may be multiplexed with subframes of the second subframe type, such as through time division multiplexing. In some examples symbols of different duration may be multiplexed such that different symbol durations coexist.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication between at a base station and a user equipment is provided that accommodates multiple data streams of varying traffic characteristics. The base station may configure semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) occasions having a particular periodicity. Each SPS occasion having multiple slots associated with multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCH). A message is transmitted to a user equipment (UE) indicating the SPS occasions. Subsequently, the base station transmits data to the UE over the multiple PDSCH during the indicated SPS occasions. The base station can dynamically adjust the number of PDSCH for an SPS occasion, wherein different number of PDSCH are used in two sequential SPS occasions. Also, the PDSCH in a same SPS occasion may use at least one of: different encoding schemes or different modulation schemes.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication may include a UE and a base station. The base station may transmit at least one BFD-RS to the UE and the UE may receive at least one BFD-RS from a base station. The UE may transmit an aperiodic BFI report to the base station prior to a beam failure detection. The base station may determine that an early beam failure occurred and initiate a beam failure recovery in response to receiving the aperiodic BFI report from the UE.
