Abstract: Methods and apparatus for multiplexing reference signals for Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) layers are provided. Resources for Demodulation Reference Signals (DMRS) corresponding to each of two or more data streams are assigned, wherein the resources assigned to each of the data streams are staggered in frequency and span two or more OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing) symbols. Abstract: A communication device receives, from another communication device, a set of transmissions over a sidelink shared channel, or over a downlink shared channel (1005). The communication device estimates a Doppler spread or a delay spread based on the received set of transmissions over the shared channel (1010). The communication device selects a reference signal configuration, from multiple reference signal configurations, based on the estimated Doppler spread or the estimated delay spread (1015). The reference signal is a DMRS, a PTRS and/or a TRS. Finally, the communication device transmits feedback indicating the selected reference signal configuration for a subsequent set of transmissions over the shared channel (1020).

A first wireless device may communicate one or more messages associated with an authentication scheme with a second wireless device. The one or more messages may indicate a capability of one or more of the devices, that the authentication scheme includes a symmetric or an asymmetric authentication scheme, or both. The first wireless device may receive a signal from the second wireless device. The signal may include a set of authentication bits. The first wireless device may determine an authenticity of the signal based on the set of authentication bits, the signal, at least one key associated with the authentication scheme, or a combination thereof. The authenticity may indicate whether the signal was sent from the second wireless device or another wireless device.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to communicate with NTN base station(s) more efficiently to improve NTN positioning. In one aspect, a UE communicates with at least one TN base station via a first set of PFLs for a UE positioning session. The UE communicates with at least one NTN base station via a second set of PFLs for the UE positioning session, the second set of PFLs being different from the first set of PFLs. In another aspect, a UE measures a first RS that is transmitted from a base station via a wide beam, the wide beam having a coverage over an area. The UE measures at least one second RS that is transmitted from the base station via at least one narrow beam based on the first RS being successfully decoded, each of the at least one narrow beam covering a portion of the area.
