Abstract:
In an inter-master eNB (MeNB) handover procedure without secondary eNB (SeNB) change, a user equipment (UE) receives a SeNB kept indicator indicating that a SeNB has been kept successfully from a source MeNB. Upon receiving the SeNB kept indicator, the UE determines that the SeNB has been kept successfully in the inter-MeNB handover without SeNB change, and skips the random access procedure to the SeNB.
Abstract:
A multi-cell/multicast coordination entity (MCE) determines a cluster to which a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) message. The MCE receives a first session start message, which includes a temporary mobile group identity (TMGI), quality of services (QoS) parameters, and a list of cells, from a V2X application server and determines a cluster, which contains group of cells, to which V2X message is to be broadcast, based on the received TMGI, QoS parameters, and list of cells. Upon determining the cluster, the MCE transmits a second session start message, which includes an indication to notify eNodeB (eNB) to wait for scheduling information, to eNBs corresponding to the determined cluster, and transmits MBMS scheduling information to the eNBs. Further, update of the cluster may be triggered from the V2X application server or from the eNB with limited feedback.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting location information of a serving small cell in a wireless communication system is provided. A first evolved NodeB (eNB), which may be a master eNB (MeNB) in dual connectivity, receives the location information of the serving small cell served by a second eNB, which may be a secondary eNB (SeNB) in dual connectivity, from the second eNB, and transmits the received location information of the serving small cell to a mobility management entity (MME).
Abstract:
As one aspect of mobility enhancement of 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) long-term evolution (LTE)-wireless local area network (WLAN) aggregation, inter-eNodeB (eNB) handover without WLAN termination (WT) change is considered. A source eNB transmits a handover request message including a WT identifier (ID) and WT XwAP ID to a target eNB. The target eNB transmits a WT addition request message including the WT XwAP ID to a WT, and receives a WT addition request acknowledge message from the WT. The target eNB transmits a handover request acknowledge message indicating that a WT is kept to the source eNB. The source eNB transmits a WT release request message indicating that the WT is kept to the WT. The WT is a logical node that terminates a Xw interface on a WLAN.
Abstract:
A method for processing, by a gateway, an X2 message in a wireless communication system, the method includes receiving, by the gateway, an X2 setup request message and first target information from a first eNodeB (eNB); transmitting, by the gateway, the received X2 setup request message to a second eNB based on the received first target information; receiving, by the gateway, an X2 setup response message and second target information from the second eNB; and transmitting, by the gateway, the received X2 setup response message to the first eNB based on the received second target information.
Abstract:
The present specification proposes a method of displaying a terminal involved in public disaster safety communication in a single base station that has a constraint on a normal backhaul connection. Even when the backhaul connection is disconnected, it is possible for a terminal to communicate by using an X2 connection between base stations, but there is a limitation in that it is difficult for a terminal to find the position of another terminal because a connection between the base station and an evolved packet core (EPC) is disconnected. Thus, there is a need for a method to solve this limitation. Whether there is a backhaul connection between a first base station and the EPC is detected, and when a backhaul connection is not detected, a first ID is allocated to a terminal in the service area of the first base station and the first ID allocated is transmitted to a second base station. When there is a backhaul connection between the first base station and the EPC, a globally unique temporary identifier (GUTI) of the terminal in the service area of the first base station is received from a mobility management entity (MME). Then, whether there is a backhaul connection between the first base station and the EPC is detected, and when a backhaul connection is not detected, the GUTI of the terminal in the service area of the first base station is transmitted to the second base station.
Abstract:
The present specification provides a method and device for displaying the isolation or recovery of a base station in a wireless communication system. The second base station receives information indicating the state of a link with a first base station and an evolved packet core (EPC) from the first base station or a mobility management entity (MME), and determines whether to perform a handover on the basis of the received information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting information on a cycle of a discovery signal transmitted by a small cell in a wireless communication system is provided. An evolved NodeB (eNB) of the small cell transmits the information on the cycle of the discovery signal to a macro cell, and transmits the discovery signal according to the cycle of the discovery signal. The cycle of the discovery signal can be determined on the basis of an offset value of a system frame number (SFN) of the small cell and an X2 interface delay.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for performing a CoMP operation in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for the method. A method for performing an Inter-eNB CoMP (Coordinated Multi-Point) operation in a wireless communication system comprises receiving, by a first eNB, a message requesting initiation of a CoMP operation from a second eNB; transmitting, by the first eNB, to the second eNB a message requesting information about gain expected from a CoMP operation carried out in the second eNB; receiving, by the first eNB, the information about gain expected from the second eNB; coordinating, by the first eNB, resources for a CoMP operation based on the information of expected gain; and transmitting, by the first eNB, the resource coordination result to the second eNB.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for determining a path switch in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for determining a path switch of a first network entity, the method comprising the steps of: receiving bearer setup information including a bearer type regarding at least one bearer; transmitting a path switch request to a second network entity on the basis of the bearer setup information; receiving a path switch response corresponding to the path switch request from the second network entity; and determining a path switch depending on whether the path switch response indicates admission of a default bearer.
