    Abstract: A refurbishing method, refurbishing apparatus and refurbished article are provided. The refurbishing method includes accessing a plurality of rotatable components attached to a turbine assembly, the turbine assembly being a portion of a turbomachine, providing a predetermined volume of a buffered electrolytic solution in an electro-polishing tank, coupling the plurality of rotatable components to a power supply, immersing an immersion portion of at least one of the plurality of rotatable components in the buffered electrolytic solution, passing an electrical energy through the immersion portion of at least one of the plurality of rotatable components while the immersion portion is immersed in the buffered electrolytic solution, wherein an electrical flux to the immersion portion electro-polishes the immersion portion, separating the immersion portion from the buffered electrolytic solution, and applying a corrosion inhibitor to the plurality of rotatable components.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for imparting corrosion resistance to gas turbine engines are disclosed. Existing and/or supplemental piping is connected to existing compressor section air extraction and turbine section cooling air piping to supply water and anti-corrosion agents into areas of the gas turbine engine not ordinarily and/or directly accessible by injection of cleaning agents into the bellmouth of the turbine alone and/or repair methods. An anti-corrosion mixture is selectively supplied as a liquid-steam mixture to the compressor and/or the turbine sections of the gas turbine engine to coat the gas turbine engine components therein with a metal passivation coating which mitigates corrosion in the gas turbine engine.

The method includes establishing a compressor fouling set point and sensing a fouling level in the compressor with a sensor.     Abstract: Systems and methods for mitigation of hot corrosion in steam injected gas turbine. In one embodiment, a steam injection system can provide for automatic injection of steam in a gas turbine for NOx abatement and power augmentation. The system can obtain indications as to whether the steam to be injected meets the requirements of the gas turbine in terms of purity and quality. If the quality or purity is not adequate, steam the injection into the combustor or compressor discharge casing (CDC) is automatically inhibited. The system may also monitor the dynamic pressure oscillations inside the combustor. The system may modulate steam flows modulates to enhance the total steam flow while maintaining the dynamic oscillations within acceptable limits.
