Abstract:
An application can be launched in response to a launch request from an accessory. For example, the mobile computing device can determine whether it is in a state that allows launching of an application and/or can determine whether the application or application type requested in the launch command is available for launching. In response to the request, and if the mobile computing device is capable, the mobile computing device can launch the application. The mobile computing device can also send a positive acknowledgment message to the accessory indicating that the application may be launched. An open communication session message may also be sent to the accessory. In response thereto the accessory can open a communication session and interoperate with the application.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for determining a context of a client device and selecting media content items to present at the client device based on their compatibility with the context. The context is based at least on the co-presentation rules associated with the content previously presented at the client device. Available media content items, such as invitational content items are evaluated with respect to the context, and presented according to their compatibility with at least a present context at the client device.
Abstract:
A content management system and/or client device can enable a user to initiate a quick play mode where a content category and content medium are selected for the user. A client device and/or a content management system can select a content medium for a user based on one or more factors, such as the content category. Certain content categories of content can be preferably delivered in certain content mediums. In some embodiments, a content management system and/or client device can select a content medium for a user based on contextual data gathered from the user. Contextual data can be data describing the user's current state and/or environment. For example, contextual data can include data such as the time of day, geographic location, etc.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for uploading, by a verified party, verified-party content to a media platform, receiving requests by a client device for store content, and displaying the uploaded verified-party content along with store content on the client device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to identify at least a first portion and a second portion of resources to restore to a device are described. The first portion of the resources may be restored atomically to the device before the second portion of the resources. The device may not respond to at least one user input during the restoration of the first portion of the resources. If the restoring of the first portion is successful, the second portion of the resources may be restored. The device may respond to the user input during the restoring of the second portion of the resources.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for managing invitational content associated with broadcast media streams. Metadata is added to a broadcast media stream, in the form of tags, which can be used to present and track invitational content items in the broadcast media stream. The metadata in the tags can then be used, along with device information to generate notifications which can be utilized to generate exposure statistics for the media stream. In some configurations, the tags can be configured to invoke the presentation of an additional invitational content item.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for invitational content attribution. The system tracks a user's conversion of an item of invitational content and correlates the user's conversion with a previously-served impression based on a token of information associated with the previously-served impression, wherein the token of information includes a unique identifier associated with the previously-served impression and a timestamp corresponding to a time of impression. The system then reports the previously-served impression as being correlated to the user's conversion.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for invitational content geofencing. A system first sends, to a server location data associated with the system, the location data being calculated at the system. The system then receives a listing of places of interest within a geofence including a geographical perimeter for identifying places of interest in the listing, the geofence being based on the location data associated with the system. Next, the system selects a place of interest from the listing based on a location of the system. The system then presents a content item associated with the place of interest.
Abstract:
An online store can transmit an online account token to an electronic device or to a biometric sensing device after a user successfully enters his or her account password. The electronic device or the biometric sensing device can countersign the online account token when the one or more biometric images match reference biometric images and the account password matches user identifier data stored in the electronic device or in the biometric sensing device. The countersigned online account token can then be transmitted to the online store. The user can then make one or more purchases after the online store receives the countersigned online account token.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, non-transitory computer-readable medium stores instructions for establishing a trusted two-way communications session for account creation for an online store, which include instructions for causing a processor to perform operations comprising retrieving and verifying a signed configuration file from a server, requesting a communication session using the configuration file, receiving a payload of account creation forms from a network client, signing the payload according to the server configuration file, and sending the signed payload containing account creation information to the server. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises analyzing timestamps for requests for data forms for supplying account creation information for evidence of automated account creation activity and rejecting the request for the locator of the second account creation form if evidence of automated account creation activity is detected. Methods for secure account authentication and asset purchase are also disclosed.
