Abstract: Aspects relate to technologies and techniques for sequence-based, non-coherent wireless channel transmission of a payload on a physical uplink channel. A transmitter converts information bits of a payload to be transmitted to a decimal integer value that is, in turn, used to generate a modified maximum sequence (m-sequence) based on one or more predetermined parameters such as an m-sequence generating polynomial, a starting location in the sequence, and an initialization. The generated modified m-sequences are modulated using modulation schemes such as π/2 binary phase-shift keying and quadrature phase-shift keying for transmission on the physical uplink channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitter may transmit a payload in transmission to the base station in a wireless communications system. The transmitter may identify a payload to include in the transmission to the base station. The transmitter may determine to transmit the transmission using an orthogonal sequence codebook or a non-orthogonal sequence codebook, based on a size of the payload, a control message from the base station to the transmitter, or a combination of these. The transmitter may then transmit the transmission to the base station based on whether the transmission is to use the orthogonal sequence codebook or the non-orthogonal sequence codebook. The transmission may be a noncoherent transmission. The transmission may be an uplink control information transmission, an uplink data transmission, a downlink control information transmission, or a downlink data transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may indicate for a first device to transmit random information in the direction of an adverse device on at least partially overlapping time and frequency resources that are also used for receiving a downlink message from the base station. By transmitting the random information in the direction of the adverse device, the first device may cause entropy overhead to the adverse device, impacting an ability of the adverse device to decode portions of the downlink message transmitted to and intended for the first device. Accordingly, the first device may receive the downlink message and may concurrently transmit the random information in the direction of the adverse device on time and frequency resources that at least partially overlap with time and frequency resources used for receiving the downlink message based on receiving the indication from the base station.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a subframe structure for time division duplex (TDD) carriers that can be entirely self-contained. That is, information transmitted on a TDD carrier may be grouped into subframes, where each subframe provides communication in both directions (e.g., uplink and downlink) in a suitable fashion to enable such communication without needing any further information in another subframe. For example, a single subframe may include scheduling information, data information corresponding to the scheduling information, and acknowledgment information corresponding to the data information.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for Uu and sidelink prioritization for subband full duplex UEs. The apparatus determines a priority level associated with channels that are scheduled to collide with each other. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) supporting full duplex communications may determine that a set of downlink messages to be transmitted from a base station to the UE overlaps in time with a set of uplink messages to be transmitted from the UE. Accordingly, the UE may determine a downlink transmission power adjustment value for the set of downlink messages. In some examples, the base station may indicate the downlink transmission power adjustment value to the UE via radio resource control (RRC) signaling, a downlink control information (DCI) message, or both. The UE may transmit the set of uplink messages while simultaneously receiving the set of downlink messages with a transmission power that corresponds to the downlink transmission power adjustment value. Adjusting the transmission power for the set of downlink messages may reduce self-interference at the UE, the base station, or both.
