Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating, by a user equipment (UE), over multiple slices. A method that may be performed by the UE includes receiving, by a modem, from an operating system (OS), a request for route identifier, the request for route identifier comprising a traffic descriptor corresponding to a first application from which the request for route identifier originated. The method further includes transmitting a route identifier to the OS, the route identifier generated by the modem based on a routing policy that provides mapping between the traffic descriptor and a network route. The method further includes receiving, by the modem, a start network request comprising the route identifier. The method further includes establishing, in response to the start network request, a network connection via the network route.

The method also includes transmitting one or more scheduling requests (SRs) to a second base station associated with a second RAT to trigger a connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) ON period. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for wireless communications that support fast user equipment (UE) handover between base stations. A UE may receive, from a source base station, a configuration for reference signal transmission at a set of uplink transmit power levels. The UE may transmit multiple uplink reference signal repetitions based on the configuration. The source base station may transmit a request message to a target base station to measure the multiple uplink reference signal repetitions. The target base station may select an uplink reference signal and measure a transmit power correction. The target base station may transmit an indication to the source base station of the selection and transmit power correction. The source base station may evaluate the indications and select the target base station. The source base station may forward to the indicated contents, and the UE may switch and synchronize with the target base station.

Abstract: Systems and methods for user equipment (UE) triggered edge computing application context relocation in an edge computing application architecture are described. In accordance with S-EES centric and/or T-EES centric UE triggered application context relocation procedures of some examples, a UE may take primary responsibility with respect to the application context transfer. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for establishment and maintenance of edge data network services. A user equipment (UE) may register one or more application clients for edge services at an edge application server. In order to maintain edge application servers that are continuing to be used by the UE, an edge enabler server at the edge data network, an edge enabler client at the UE, or both, may initiate a timer that is used to confirm the edge application server is continuing to be used. Such techniques may help prevent resources from being consumed after the edge services are no longer needed, such as after the UE no longer needs the edge services or the UE has moved outside of an area associated with the edge services.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a user equipment (UE) to report packet switched voice call capabilities to a base station. The UE may explicitly report voice call capabilities via one or more system-level parameters that are transmitted to the base station. The base station may operate in a first radio access network (RAN), such as a 5G or new radio (NR) RAN. In cases where the UE indicates a capability for packet switched voice calls via the first RAN, one or more voice calls may be established with the UE via the first RAN. In cases where the UE indicates that it is not capable of packet switched voice calls via the first RAN, the UE may fall back to a different RAN (e.g., a 4G or LTE RAN, a 3G RAN, or a 2G RAN) for voice calls.

Abstract: A delta configuration is signaled for handover of a wireless communication device (e.g., a user equipment, UE) from a first form of connectivity to a second form of connectivity. For example, a UE with master cell group (MCG) connectivity may be handed-over to multiple radio access technology-dual connectivity (MR-DC). In some examples, a UE with standalone (SA) connectivity may be handed-over to non-standalone (NSA) connectivity (e.g., dual connectivity). In conjunction with this handover the UE may be signaled as to whether the UE is to reuse a configuration from the first connectivity mode during the second connectivity mode.

In some aspects, a broadcast multicast service center (BMSC) device may receive, from a user equipment (UE) and via a first base station associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), a request for evolved multicast broadcast multimedia service (eMBMS) content. The BMSC device may transmit, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) device, a redirection request or a handover request, associated with the UE, from the first base station to a second base station associated with a second RAT. The BMSC device may transmit, to the UE and based at least in part on the UE being redirected or handed over to the second base station, the eMBMS content via the second base station.
