Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a transmitting device to provide reference signals to a receiving device for beam management according to an arbitrarily determined sequence of transmission beams at any time, and to implicitly convey information regarding the determined sequence of transmission beams to the receiving device. The transmitting device provides a message to the receiving device indicating a beam sequence conveyance mode. The transmitting device subsequently determines a sequence of different transmission beams, and associates a reference signal with each one of the transmission beams for transmission to the receiving device according to the sequence. The receiving device obtains the plurality of reference signals from the transmitting device, where each of the reference signals is associated with a different transmission beam. The receiving device identifies a reception beam for each of the transmission beams, and determines a sequence of the transmission beams in response to the identification.

Abstract: Multiple user equipments (UEs) may initiate independent ranging sessions at nearly the same time and location and which may interfere with each other. A UE that receives multiple initial messages for ranging determines if there is temporal separation between the ranging sessions. The UE may further determine if there is geographic separation between the ranging sessions, e.g., the initiating UEs are separated. If separation is lacking, the UE separates available ranging signal properties, such as frequency bandwidth, timing instances, and identifiers, and communicates different sets of ranging signal properties to each initiating UE. The multiple ranging sessions may be performed using the different sets of ranging signal properties with less risk of interference.

Abstract: Aspects relate to a user equipment that transmits an uplink transmission on a first receive beam of a first beam pair link and on a second receive beam of a second beam pair link. The base station transmits a downlink transmission on the first transmit beam with a first beam-specific timing precompensation and on the second transmit beam with a second beam-specific timing precompensation. The first beam-specific timing precompensation and the second beam-specific timing precompensation are based on a timing difference between the reception of the uplink transmission via the first TRP and via the second TRP. The user equipment receives the beam-specific timing precompensations.
