Abstract: The present disclosure provides signaling for multi-panel user equipment (MPUE) activation. The MPUE may have at least an active first panel and an inactive second panel. The MPUE may determine to activate the second panel. The MPUE may activate the second panel in response to the determination. The MPUE may transmit, from the active first panel to a base station, a status indicating that the second panel is active. The MPUE may transmit, after an activation time, an uplink transmission from the second panel to the base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a base station indicating a configuration for layer one (L1) measuring and reporting of downlink reference signals received from a non-serving cell. The UE may receive a set of downlink signals (e.g., a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) or a set of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs)) from a base station associated with the non-serving cell. In response to receiving the downlink reference signals, the UE may determine channel information including of a set of channel metrics based on measuring the downlink reference signals. The UE may then transmit an L1 report to the base station of the serving cell indicating the channel information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability or mobility mode indication to a base station. The base station may select a timing advance (TA) adjustment scheme based on the information included in the indication. The base station may select a TA adjustment scheme in which the UE autonomously adjusts a TA value; the UE adjusts the TA value after receiving a command from the base station; or the UE transmits a message to the base station including a proposed TA adjustment, and the UE adjusts the TA value after receiving an approval message from the base station. The base station may transmit a TA adjustment scheme configuration to the UE including an indication of the selected TA adjustment scheme. The UE may adjust a TA value for an uplink transmission based on applying the TA adjustment scheme.

Abstract: Aspects relate to mechanisms for wireless communication devices to utilize transmission configuration indication (TCI) field invalidation after PDSCH beam setting. A user equipment (UE) detecting a beam failure on a connected beam. The UE transmits a beam failure recovery request. The beam failure recovery request includes an indication of a candidate beam. The UE receives a first message including a beam failure recovery response and a second message including downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The UE applies the candidate beam to the PDSCH when the second message is received at least a predetermined number of symbols after receiving the first message.

Abstract: Improved signaling of default and scheduled beams in a Channel Occupancy Time (COT) are provided through a base station that indicates a default or scheduled reception (Rx) or transmission (Tx) beam to a UE for use in the COT. As a result, the base station allows the UE to identify its default or scheduled Rx or Tx beam for its scheduled data at earliest at the beginning of the COT, without having to derive the beam from the QCL of the lowest CORESET ID in a dynamically indicated DCI of the latest monitored slot. The UE can thus more rapidly realize the default or scheduled Rx and/or Tx beam in high unlicensed bands (e.g. 60 GHz) and subsequently communicate with the base station in one or more COTs or a portion of a COT using the default or scheduled Rx or Tx beam.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to configuring active spatial relations in wireless communications. A capability indicating a number of active spatial relations supported for detecting downlink reference signals or generating uplink beams can be indicated to an access point. A configuration of spatial relations indicating a transmit filter of reference signals for use in transmitting uplink communications can be received from the access point and based on the capability.
