Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for operating based on a power save mode in a wireless LAN. The method for operating based on the power save mode in a wireless LAN may comprise the steps of: an STA receiving, from an AP, a beacon frame from a beacon frame time resource for the beacon frame, wherein a TIM included in the beacon frame indicates pending downlink data for the STA; the STA maintaining a sleep mode after receiving the beacon frame and until a monitoring start time resource for the downlink frame for delivering downlink data; and the STA receiving, from the AP, the downlink frame from a listen window including the monitoring start time resource.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a channel access method and an apparatus therefor. A channel access method in a wireless LAN includes the steps of determining whether an STA (station) changes a first access category for a probe request frame; and if a first access category is changed to a second access category, performing a back-off process for enabling the STA to transmit the probe request frame based on the second access category, wherein the second access category may have a lower priority than the first access category.
Abstract:
The present document relates to a method for transmitting an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) signal for transmission data of a plurality of stations (STAs) by an access point (AP) in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system, and an apparatus therefor. To this end, the AP transmits a trigger frame to the plurality of STAs, and on receiving data from the plurality of STAs in response to the trigger frame, transmits ACK/NACK signals for the data received from the plurality of STAs through a multiuser block ACK frame (M-BA frame). Here, the M-BA frame includes ACK/NACK signals for STAs, the number of which is determined so as not to exceed a specific transmission unit time, among the ACK/NACK signals for the plurality of STAs, and the AP additionally transmits ACK/NACK signals to one or more STAs, to which ACK/NACK signals have not been transmitted through the M-BA, among the plurality of STAs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a broadband wireless access system, and more particularly, to a method for efficiently determining power for ranging performed by a terminal on a target base station or a target region during handover or during changing of a region. A method for controlling uplink power for network reentry of a terminal from a first region to a second region in a broadband wireless access system, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving a media access control (MAC) management message including a power control parameter that is to be applied to the second region from the first region; and performing ranging to the second region by applying the power control parameter.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for transmitting backhaul link information. A method for acquiring backhaul link state information for a station (STA) may comprise the steps of: an STA transmitting, to an access point (AP), a generic advertisement service (GAS) request frame requesting a backhaul link state information of the AP; the STA receiving, as a response to the GAS request frame, a GAS response frame comprising backhaul link state information, wherein the GAS request frame is a frame transmitted by an STA, before an authentication or an association procedure and after a scanning procedure of the AP, to request availability-related information of a network to be accessed by the STA, and the backhaul link state information can comprise information regarding the load of a backhaul link linking network apparatuses other the AP and the STA.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for scanning in a wireless Local Area Network (LAN). A method for scanning by a station (STA) comprises the steps of: the STA generating a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer management entity (MLME)-SCAN.request primitive comprising information for a basic service set identifier (BSSID) and a service set identifier (SSID); the STA generating a probe request frame comprising wildcard BSSID and SSID; the STA multi-casting the probe request frame to a first Access Point (AP) forming an extended service set (ESS) network using a particular SSID; and the STA receiving a probe response frame broadcast from the first AP as a response to the probe request frame.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for active scanning in a wireless LAN. The method for active scanning in a wireless LAN may comprise the steps of: a first station(STA) transmitting a first probe request frame to an access point (AP); and a first STA receiving a probe response frame from the AP, wherein the probe response frame is a response for the probe request frame, and the first probe request frame comprises fast initial link setup(FILS) capability information which can indicate whether the first STA supports FILS.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for initial access distribution over a wireless LAN. A method for an initial access by a station (STA) comprises: a step in which the STA receives a fast initial link setup (FILS) backoff parameter from an access point (AP); and a step in which the STA implements a backoff procedure by using the final FILS backoff parameter determined on the basis of the FILS backoff parameter and an access category of the data to be transmitted by the STA. Accordingly, the initial access of the STA can be distributed.
Abstract:
A method for scanning by a STA can comprise the steps of: the STA unicasting a probe request frame to a target AP from a first channel, the target AP having been determined in accordance with a BSSID comprised in a primitive; the STA processing an ACK transmitted via the first channel within a first ACK transmission time, and determining whether the first ACK for the probe request frame is received; if the first ACK is received within the first ACK transmission time, then the STA monitoring a probe response frame, which is a response to the probe request frame from the first channel; and if the first ACK is not received within the first ACK transmission time, then regardless of a CCA level detected during the first ACK transmission time, the STA switching the scanning channel.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for active scanning in a WLAN. In the method for active scanning in the WLAN, a scanning STA, which has received from a different STA a first probe request frame, can start a probe timer and perform a CCA for detecting a channel state of a receiving channel. When the channel state is not busy until the probe timer reaches a minimum channel time, the scanning STA transmits to an AP from the receiving channel a second probe request frame, and when the channel state is busy until the probe timer reaches the minimum channel time and the scanning STA does not receive a probe reply frame, which includes at least the same information expected to be received based on scanning information, the scanning STA can transmit to the AP from the receiving channel the second probe request frame.
