Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communication technologies, to resolve problems of a long data transmission delay and high signaling overheads. A first access network device receives uplink user plane data from a user equipment in an inactive state, and sends an uplink control plane information element and the uplink user plane data to a second access network device through a same interface. The method is applied to a data transmission process.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to measurement methods and apparatus. In one example method, a terminal device receives N synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block measurement timing configurations (SMTCs) from a network device. The terminal device obtains M measurement gaps based on M SMTCs in the N SMTCs respectively, where N and M are positive integers, and M is less than or equal to N.

Abstract: This application provides a transmission method and a data transmission apparatus, so as to avoid out-of-order of data packets. The method includes: sending, by a source access network device, a first proportion of data packets in a first Packet Data Convergence Protocol PDCP entity in the source access network device to a target access network device by using a data tunnel between the source access network device and a second PDCP entity of the target access network device, where the first proportion of data packets are data packets of a first quality of service QoS flow in a first protocol data unit PDU session, the first PDU session includes at least one QoS flow, the at least one QoS flow corresponds to at least one PDCP entity, the at least one QoS flow includes the first QoS flow, the at least one PDCP entity includes the first PDCP entity, and the first PDCP entity corresponds to the first QoS flow; and sending, by the source access network device, first indication information to the target access network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate that all the first proportion of data packets in the first PDCP entity have been sent.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: a terminal device receives conditional handover configuration information from a first network device, where the configuration information is used to configure a trigger condition of a conditional handover, and the first network device is a network device to which a serving cell currently accessed by the terminal device belongs. The terminal device determines a first target cell based on the conditional handover configuration information, where the first target cell is a cell in at least one candidate target cell that satisfies the trigger condition.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to information transmission methods. In one example method, a first network device or a second network device triggers a terminal device to be handed over from a first cell to a second cell. The terminal device sends second information, where the second information includes information about a radio link failure that occurs between the terminal device and the second cell, or information about beam failure recovery that occurs between the terminal device and the second cell. The first network device or the second network device performs mobility robustness optimization based on the second information.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a cell access method and a device, to provide a network slice service area identifier and network slice configuration information for a terminal device, so that the terminal device accesses a target cell. The method in the embodiments of this application includes: obtaining, by a terminal device, a network slice service area identifier from a serving access network device corresponding to a serving cell in which the terminal device is located, where the network slice service area identifier is used to indicate an area served by a network slice; determining, by the terminal device, a target cell based on network slice configuration information and the network slice service area identifier, where the network slice configuration information includes a correspondence among a network slice, an area, and a service; and accessing, by the terminal device, the target cell.

Abstract: An information processing method and apparatus. The method includes: a terminal side device sends uplink information through a PUSCH; determines a monitoring identifier of a downlink control channel based on PUSCH resource information of a resource occupied by the PUSCH; further monitors the downlink control channel based on the monitoring identifier, where the downlink control channel carries information used to indicate a resource location of a PDSCH; and then receives the PDSCH at the resource location of the PDSCH, where the PDSCH carries a response message. In this way, the terminal side device avoids blindly monitoring, based on the monitoring identifier, a downlink control channel that does not belong to the terminal side device and parsing a corresponding response message, and power consumption of the terminal side device is reduced.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to delay measurement methods and apparatus. In one example method, a first communications device receives a data unit from a second communications device, where the data unit includes time information, the time information is used to indicate a first moment at which the second communications device sends the data unit, and the time information indicates the first moment based on a part of bits of a frame number. The first communications device determines a delay from the second communications device to the first communications device based on the first moment and a second moment, where the second moment is a moment at which the first communications device receives the data unit.
