Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for user equipment (UE) cooperation. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a target UE. The method generally includes receiving availability information indicating availability of one or more candidate UEs for cooperating with the target UE for communicating with a network entity, receiving assistance information from at least one of the candidate UEs, establishing a cooperation connection with the at least one of the candidate UEs based on the assistance information, and transmitting, to the network entity, an indication of UE capability based on the cooperation connection.

Abstract: Aspects relate to sharing a channel occupancy time (COT) initiated by a network access node (e.g., a base station) with one or more wireless communication devices for sidelink communication between the wireless communication devices. In this example, the network access node can transmit a COT structure indication (COT-SI) to the wireless communication device(s) indicating the COT resources (e.g., time and frequency resources) of the COT that may be shared with sidelink. In some examples, the wireless communication device can receive a message from the network access node including a COT sharing indicator indicating whether COT sidelink sharing is enabled or disabled.

Abstract: Thus, aspects of the present disclosure allow for a target UE to utilize a cooperative device to communicate with a base station when the target UE is out of coverage or in poor radio connections, but can still connect to another UE over a non-3GPP technology. Aspects of the present disclosure may receive a derived radio resource control (RRC) key from a user equipment (UE) in a non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) link between the apparatus and the UE. In some aspects, the UE is out of coverage of a network entity in a 3GPP link with the apparatus. In another instance, aspects of the present disclosure may receive control data from the network entity in the 3GPP link using the derived RRC key. In yet another instance, aspects of the present disclosure may transmit the control data to the UE in the non-3GPP link.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a user equipment (UE) that may receive an indication of a proximity discovery resource in a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) symbol from a network entity. The UE may transmit a proximity discovery request including the indication of the proximity discovery resource. The UE may receive a PSFCH sequence associated with the proximity discovery resource from other UEs that may respond to the proximity discovery request. The UE may transmit a bit map sequence indicative of the other UEs to the network entity. The network entity may determine a proximity between the UE and the other UEs based on the bit map sequence. The network entity may schedule the UE and the other UEs based on the proximity.
