    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a set of connected discontinuous reception (C-DRX) configurations. The set of C-DRX configurations may include a first C-DRX configuration and a second C-DRX configuration, where at least one C-DRX configuration in the set of C-DRX configurations is a UE-group common C-DRX configuration. The set of C-DRX configurations may correspond to a discontinuous transmission (DTX) cycle of the base station. The UE may select a C-DRX configuration from the set of C-DRX configurations based on receiving the control signaling from the base station. Accordingly, the UE may use the selected C-DRX configuration to communicate with the base station. The selected C-DRX configuration may enable the base station to operate with reduced power consumption and higher DTX efficiency, among other benefits.

    Abstract: Wireless positioning accuracy of a user equipment (UE) is impacted by locations of the transmit/receive points (TRPs) and UE for wireless positioning. To improve the accuracy of estimated locations, a geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) may be determined for different groups of candidate TRPs, with the GDOP indicating a potential positioning error associated with the group of candidate TRPs. A UE may determine GDOPs for different combinations of candidate TRPs. One or more devices of a wireless network (e.g., a location server and/or a UE for positioning) may select or exclude one or more candidate TRPs from being used for wireless positioning of a UE based on the determined GDOPs. Exclusion or selection of candidate TRPs for wireless positioning may also be based on quality measurements of PRSs (such as an RSRP or SNR) or a time duration associated with measuring the PRSs from the candidate TRPs to be selected.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may be configured with periodic uplink grants that provide a number of repetitions and a redundancy version (RV) sequence for the repetitions. Prior to the start of an uplink grant period, the UE may determine a set of slots that are available for uplink transmissions in the uplink grant period. Based on the set of slots, the UE may determine a corresponding RV for repetitions of the uplink communication associated with each slot. The slots with uplink transmissions within the uplink grant period may be non-contiguous. Repetitions of an uplink communication may be configured to be transmitted across multiple uplink grant periods, which may be triggered based on a threshold value associated with the repetitions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a control message identifying a frequency hop configuration that configures the UE to use frequency hopping when transmitting repetitions of an uplink shared channel transmission. The UE, the base station, or both may determine, based on the UE being configured with the frequency hop configuration, a frequency hop for each repetition of the uplink shared channel transmission. Each frequency hop may be determined based on a corresponding uplink shared channel index for a respective repetition a frequency hop for each repetition of the uplink shared channel transmission. The uplink shared channel index may be an uplink transmission occasion index, or a repetition index. The UE may transmit the repetitions of the uplink shared channel transmission using respective frequency hops in accordance with the determination and the frequency hop configuration.

A wireless communication system may be configured with a plurality of areas in which one or more networks are established for communicating certain types of signals.     Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) engaged in a positioning session with a transmission-reception point (TRP) receives, during a first state, a configuration of one or more sounding reference signal (SRS) resources, receives a first association between at least one SRS resource of the one or more SRS resources and at least one random access channel (RACH) resource of one or more RACH resources, switches out of the first state during an ongoing positioning session, and transmits, while outside the first state, at least a first signal of a RACH procedure to the TRP using transmission properties based on the first association between the at least one SRS resource and the at least one RACH resource.
