    Abstract: A base station and a UE may communicate using directional beams, such as a downlink directional beam (used to transmit downlink channels) and an uplink directional beam (used to transmit uplink channels), each beam carrying one or more data channels, control channels, and/or reference signals. According to one aspect, signaling for managing the uplink channels and downlink channels may be sent over a shared common beam. The shared common beam is distinct from the uplink directional beam and the downlink directional beam. In one example, a first shared common channel may serve to manage or update uplink data channels (on the uplink directional beam) and downlink data channels (on the downlink directional beam), while a second shared common channel may serve to manage or update uplink control channels (on the uplink directional beam) and downlink control channels (on the downlink directional beam).

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a configuration that enables an apparatus to determine beam pairs for full duplex communication based on a cross-link interference procedure. The apparatus determines a subset of receive beams based on a beam measurement process, where each receive beam is associated with a different antenna array panel. In some aspects, the apparatus performs a channel measurement process based on the subset of receive beams. The apparatus sweeps through transmitted sounding reference signals from a same transmit beam corresponding to each receive beam of an antenna array panel and receives the transmitted sounding reference signals incrementally through other receive beams associated with other antenna array panels. The apparatus measures a self-interference for at least one beam pair of the subset of receive beams based on a received sounding reference signal. The apparatus selects one or more beam pairs based on a self-interference measurement or a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the subject matter described in this disclosure can be implemented in a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes determining whether a plurality of beam configurations configured for processing one or more downlink (DL) signals are different than a first beam configuration for processing at least one CSI-RS, the one or more DL signals to be received in the same symbol as the at least one CSI-RS; selecting a second beam configuration for processing the at least one CSI-RS based on the determination; receiving the at least one CSI-RS; and processing the at least one CSI-RS based on the selected second beam configuration.
