Abstract: A method of improved use of available bandwidth involves capturing, by a camera of an audio/video (A/V) device, live video of a scene that includes a plurality of frames. A first frame of the plurality of frames is a first amount of data. The method also includes determining a data bandwidth between a computing device and the A/V recording and communication device. The method further involves determining that a first portion of the first frame includes a first object, such as a human face, wherein the first frame includes a second portion that does not include the first portion. Additionally, the method involves modifying the first frame to reduce at least a quality of the second portion, wherein the size of the data of the modified frame does not exceed the data bandwidth. The method also involves transmitting the modified frame to the computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for augmenting and sharing data from audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices are provided. In one embodiment, a method may include receiving, from an A/V recording and communication device, image data representing an image, analyzing the image data to determine one or more objects depicted by the image data, based on the analyzing the image data, determining at least one comment associated with the one or more objects; transmitting, to a first client device associated with the A/V recording and communication device, the image data representing the image and the at least one comment, receiving, from the first client device, consent for sharing the image data with a geographic area network, the consent indicating a selection of a comment from the at least one comment, and transmitting, to a second client device, the image data representing the image and the comment.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide for receiving image data representative of a field of view of a camera of an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device during a period time and sensor data generated by a sensor or a hub device at a time. A time-based association between the A/V recording and communication device and the sensor may be determined. Based at least in part on the time and the period of time, it may be determined that the time is within the period of time and that the time being within the period of time satisfies the time-based association. The image data and the sensor data may be correlated to create updated data, and the updated data may be included within a generated message. The message may then be transmitted to a client device associated with the A/V recording and communication device.

Abstract: Audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices with multiple cameras for superimposing image data in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device comprising: a first camera configured to capture image data at a first resolution; a second camera configured to capture image data at a second resolution that is higher than the first resolution; a memory including a rolling buffer; a communication module; and a processing module comprising: a processor; and a camera application that configures the processor to: capture first image data using the first camera; store the first image data in the rolling buffer of the memory; maintain the second camera in a low-power state; power up the second camera in response to motion detection; capture second image data using the second camera; and superimpose the first image data onto the second image data.

Abstract: A wireless speaker device configured for use with a wireless A/V recording and communication device, such as a doorbell. The wireless speaker device, which includes a speaker, may connect to the user's local area network (LAN), such as a Wi-Fi network. The LAN is connected to a wide area network (WAN), such as the Internet and/or a public switched telephone network (PSTN). When the wireless A/V recording and communication device detects a visitor, it sends a first signal, via the LAN, to device backend server in the WAN. In response, the back-end server in the WAN transmits a second signal, via the LAN, to the wireless speaker device. The second signal to the wireless speaker device includes a command for the wireless speaker device to emit a tone through its speaker. The wireless speaker device then emits a tone through its speaker to alert the user that a visitor is at the wireless A/V recording and communication device.
