摘要： A butt hinge is comprised of first and second swingably coupled hinge plates. At least one of the hinge plates is provided with clearance openings to enable the said one hinge plate to be moved over a given range relative to portions of wood screws passing through said clearance openings. A trim plate overlies the said one hinge plate. The wood screws are tightened, sandwiching the said one hinge plate between a base of a mortise and the trim plate to maintain the hinge plate in proper alignment. Engaging surfaces of the hinge plate and trim plate may be roughened to enhance the clamping therebetween. The hinge plate may be provided with set screws threadedly engaging tapped openings in the hinge plate so as to project from the hinge plate surface to compensate for applications in which a depth of a mortise is greater than the combined thickness of the hinge plate and trim plate to bring the exposed surface of the trim plate flush with the surface in which the mortise is formed. Alternatively, one or more shims may be utilized as a substitute for the set screws.

摘要： A security cover plate assembly for a barrel hinge and the assembly has an inner cover plate and an outer cover plate. The inner cover plate has a flat wall portion and a curved wall portion. The outer cover plate has a flat wall portion and a curved wall portion and a top wall and a bottom wall extend from the respective top and bottom edges of its curved wall portion to cover its respective top and bottom ends. These top and bottom walls prevent access to the hinge pin of a conventional barrel hinge for a door, a window, a boat hatch, or any other installation when the security cover plate assembly plate has been installed in combination therewith. At least one pin extends transversely from the flat wall portion of one of the flat wall portions and the other of the flat wall portions has a pin receiving aperture. The transversely extending pins prevent removal of a door from its hinge assembly even if the hinge pin has been removed.

摘要： A half hinge paint masking cover for doors, and/or door frames is provided as a one piece body molded of a rigid thermoplastic resin. The device includes two molded half cavities each cavity being connected by a thin flexible membrane of the molded material. The first cavity area covers the back surface area of the hinge barrel and has two half end shields each of which cover half the edge area of the hinge barrel and the exposed edge area of the hinge plate. The second cavity half covers the front surface half of the hinge barrel and has two end shields which cover half the edge area of the hinge barrel. A portion connected to the second cavity half includes a long flat area which covers the exposed face side of the hinge plate. The two half cavities are secured to each other by folding along the flexible membrane and engulfing the door or frame half hinge until pins projecting from tops on one half engage and protrude through holes which are located on tabs on the other half.
