    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain, for each of one or more sidelink relay candidates, a measurement of a sidelink signal and a measurement of a Uu signal to a base station. The UE may select a sidelink relay candidate from among the one or more sidelink relay candidates based at least in part on a combination of the measurement of the sidelink signal and the measurement of the Uu signal for each sidelink relay candidate. The UE may transmit, to the selected sidelink relay candidate, a message that is to be relayed to the base station. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for discontinuous reception (DRX) adaptation in a wireless communication system are provided. A network entity may configure a user equipment (UE) with a long DRX cycle. Under certain conditions, additional short DRX cycles may be activated by the network entity so that data may be transferred before the next DRX active time. Multiple aspects are described wherein short DRX cycle parameters are communicated explicitly or implicitly to the UE. Short DRX cycle parameters may be included and/or indicated by bits in a downlink control information (DCI) or a Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) command received by the UE during the long DRX active time.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that may enable a user equipment (UE) to monitor a shared spectrum to receive control signaling and data transmissions associated with different transmission time intervals (TTIs). For example, a base station may communicate with a UE according to a first transmission mode during a first, shortened TTI. The base station may transmit a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI based on a subset of a number of blind decodes or control channel elements. Additionally, a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI may contain grants for multiple TTIs. In some cases, the base station may transmit a signaling to the UE via a reference signal, downlink control channel, or radio resource control which may indicate a change from the shortened-TTI transmission mode to a transmission mode with a TTI duration that is longer than the first, shortened TTI duration.
