Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish communications with a first base station and a second base station in accordance with a dual connectivity configuration. The UE may determine a second uplink timing gap for communications with the second base station and determine, based on being in the dual connectivity configuration, a first uplink timing gap for communications with the first base station. The first uplink timing gap may be determined to be greater than the second uplink timing gap. The UE may communicate with the first base station based on the first uplink timing gap. The UE may also prioritize uplink transmit power determinations for the first base station over uplink transmit power determinations for the second base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device that uses a first radio access technology (RAT) may identify a transmission timing scheme for a shared radio frequency spectrum band, the transmission timing scheme comprising a first set of time intervals allocated for transmissions using a first RAT and a second set of time intervals allocated for transmissions using a second RAT. The wireless device may transmit, during a time interval of the first set of time intervals, a channel reservation signal indicating an end time of the time interval and indicating that the wireless device uses the first RAT. The wireless device may transmit, based at least in part on the transmitted channel reservation signal, over the shared radio frequency spectrum band during at least a portion of the time interval before the end time of the time interval.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may identify information for transmitting to a base station of a non-terrestrial network. The UE may identify that one or more resources allocated for transmitting the information are available based at least in part on identifying the information. The one or more resources include one or more types of uplink resources including physical random access channel (PRACH) resources or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources for the random access procedure, a PUSCH for a scheduling request (SR), or a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) for a configured grant, or a combination thereof As a result, the UE may transmit, to the base station, a message over the one or more resources allocated for the information based at least in part on identifying the one or more resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described and may include a user terminal and a satellite establishing a communication link over a channel having a channel delay and a medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) delay being determined based on the channel delay. The user terminal and the satellite may be within a non-terrestrial network (NTN). The user terminal may receive a MAC-CE command that indicates a communication parameter to be implemented or adjusted. The user terminal may transmit feedback, for example, to the satellite in response to the MAC-CE command, and the user terminal and the satellite may communicate according to the communication parameter in the MAC-CE command after an end of the MAC-CE delay.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for paging a user terminal (UT) in a non-terrestrial network (NTN), which may define a plurality of NTN tracking areas (TA). Each NTN TA, served by one or more satellite beams, may move or may be a geographic region. The UT may report its location before changing its connection state with the NTN and may also update its location whenever it moves a threshold distance from the previous reported location. The NTN may estimate UT's current location based on the last reported location and other factors including mobility of the UT. The NTN may determine a UT TA as the NTN TA that corresponds to the current location, and may page the UT through one or more satellite beams corresponding to the UT TA.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for frequency hopping for a wideband allocation in wireless communications. A wideband allocation of resources for transmitting uplink wireless communications can be determined, as well as a frequency hopping offset related to one or more narrowbands for transmitting uplink wireless communications. In addition, it can be determined whether to apply the frequency hopping offset to the wideband allocation in communicating data. The data can be communicated over resources related to the wideband allocation with the frequency hopping offset applied communicating, based on determining to apply the frequency hopping offset.

Abstract: In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration from a base station that indicates whether to use a first channel quality indicator (CQI) table from a first set of CQI tables associated with terrestrial network communications or whether to use a second CQI table from a second set of CQI tables associated with non-terrestrial network communications. The UE may transmit CQI feedback to the base station based at least in part on the configuration. The UE may transmit the CQI feedback using the first CQI table when the configuration indicates that the first CQI table is to be used or may transmit the CQI feedback using the second CQI table when the configuration indicates that the second CQI table is to be used.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Uplink random access channel (RACH) transmissions may be sent on multiple beams by a user equipment (UE). For example, a UE may transmit a random access preamble to a base station in a first RACH transmission, and the base station may respond with a random access response in a second RACH transmission. The second RACH transmission may include an indication for the UE to use multiple transmit beams for a third RACH transmission. Using the indication received from the base station, the UE may proceed to use the indicated two or more beams when sending the third RACH transmission to the base station. Upon receiving the third RACH transmission from the UE, the base station may respond with a fourth RACH transmission, which may further include an indication to the UE to transmit an acknowledgment using one or more beams.
