Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may include an eNB predetermining a plurality of bandwidth parts to monitor based on resource reservation information received from at least one base station, and transmitting information indicative of the predetermined bandwidth parts in a radio resource control (RRC) message. In some cases, a base station may transmit information indicative of predetermined bandwidth parts including a monitoring schedule to monitor either the first bandwidth part or the second bandwidth part in a timeslot of a set of timeslots. Another method may include receiving a predetermined monitoring schedule from a base station, and selecting a plurality of bandwidth parts to monitor on a physical downlink control channel based on the received schedule.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a UE. The apparatus attempts to receive a downlink transmission from a base station and determines to transmit a NACK to the base station for the downlink transmission. The UE transmits the NACK to the base station in a common resource in an uplink control channel, wherein the common resource is common to multiple UEs communicating with the base station. The UE may also transmit the NACK using a resource granted to the UE in the uplink control channel. Thus, the transmission of the NACK in the common resource may comprise a repetition of the NACK transmitted using the resource granted to the UE. The common resource may comprise a Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) resource. Thus, the UE may apply a NOMA sequence to the NACK prior to transmission of the NACK in the common resource.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a transmission reception point (TRP) apparatus of a Coordinated Multipoint (CoMP) network, determines a periodicity of periodic traffic between the TRP apparatus and a user equipment (UE), and schedules a Channel State Information (CSI) process in advance of a traffic window for a next instance of the periodic traffic in accordance with the determined periodicity. In another embodiment, the UE of the CoMP network performs the CSI process in advance of the traffic window for the next instance of periodic traffic between the UE and the TRP apparatus, the CSI process being scheduled in accordance with the determined periodicity of the periodic traffic.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for managing downlink control information (DCI) in wireless communications (e.g., 5G NR). In an aspect, the method includes receiving a radio resource control (RRC) message, identifying a transport block size (TBS) based on the received RRC message, receiving DCI on a downlink channel with the DCI including a resource assignment, identifying a modulation order using a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) in an MCS field of the DCI, where the size of the MCS field is one bit or two bits, and calculating a coding rate based on at least the identified TBS, the identified modulation order and the resource assignment.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus and techniques that may be applied, for example, in a multi-slice network for efficiently performing discovery in different slices of the network. An exemplary method generally includes receiving an indication indicating, for each of a plurality of slices of the network, each slice comprising a portion of the network designed for a particular use-case in the network, a discovery resource pool to be used by the wireless device when performing discovery in one or more slices of the plurality of slices, performing discovery by monitoring the discovery resource pool for each of one or more slices of the network for discovery signals transmitted by the other wireless devices, and communicating with one or more of the other wireless devices detected while performing the discovery.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for wireless communications. For example, a first network device can transmit, to second network device(s), a first information signal including information indicating a frequency for a backscattered signal. The first network device can transmit, to a third network device, a second information signal including information indicating a frequency shift for shifting a reference signal to produce the backscattered signal. The first network device can transmit the reference signal to the third network device. The first network device can select, based on channel reports received from the second network device(s), the energy harvesting waveform and at least one second network device for providing the energy harvesting waveform to the third network device. The first network device can transmit, to the at least one second network device, a scheduling signal including scheduling instructions to transmit the energy harvesting waveform to the third network device.
