Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain one or more of a number of actual bits or a number of dummy bits associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) transmission that includes one or more of a deferred semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) HARQ-ACK or a retransmitted HARQ-ACK codebook. The UE may transmit the HARQ-ACK using a power for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) that is based at least in part on the number of actual bits, the number of dummy bits, or a total number of bits that is a sum of the number of actual bits and the number of dummy bits. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Aspects are presented which enable a UE to determine a supplementary uplink (SUL) configuration for an uplink cancellation indication (ULCI) for cancelling uplink communications in SUL. The UE receives from a base station a first configuration associated with a first block of an ULCI and associated with at least one of a SUL carrier a non-supplementary uplink (NUL) carrier in a cell. The base station configures the UE with a second configuration associated with a second block of the ULCI and associated with a SUL carrier in the cell, and the UE determines the second configuration. The UE monitors the ULCI based on the first configuration and the second configuration.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is transmits capability signaling information to a base station. The capability signaling information may be associated with a capability of the UE to maintain coherence and bundle demodulation reference signals (DM-RS) when a transmission is interrupted. The base station may receive a transmission from the UE having dropped symbols, may determine if the capability signaling information indicates that the UE maintained coherence over the dropped signals, and may utilize bundled DM-RS to decode the transmission if the capability signaling information indicates that the UE maintained coherence.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for reporting a first and second stage of feedback for multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) to reduce latency and improve reliability. The first stage of feedback may include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for all PDSCHs or each PDSCH, and the second stage of feedback may include channel state information (CSI) feedback for all PDSCHs or each PDSCH. A user equipment (UE) may transmit the first and second stages of feedback in a single physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or multiple PUCCHs (e.g., a PUCCH corresponding to each PDSCH). In some cases, the UE may report the HARQ and CSI feedback based on whether the PDSCHs include the same or different transport blocks or whether the PDSCHs are transmitted with the same or different transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table design for non-Gaussian channels. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication performed at a wireless communication device includes encoding information in accordance with a channel code rate selected from MCS data to generate encoded information. The MCS data represents a MCS table having at least one pair of entries that correspond to different modulation orders and for which a spectral efficiency associated with an entry having a higher modulation order is less than or equal to a spectral efficiency associated with an entry having a lower modulation order. The method further includes transmitting the encoded information to a second wireless communication device. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

In one aspect, a first wireless device selects a resource for a discovery message from a sidelink resource pool that is partitioned into a first portion and a second portion. The first wireless device transmits a discovery message to a second wireless device using the resource selected from the first portion of the sidelink resource pool. The first wireless device monitor for a discovery response message from the second wireless device in the sidelink resource pool.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive scheduling information for transmitting uplink control information in a first resource, where the first resource spans at least portions of a set of transmission time intervals. The UE may receive downlink data to be acknowledged via a feedback message in a second resource, where the second resource is within one of the set of transmission time intervals. The UE may identify that the first resource overlaps in time with the second resource. The UE may determine a transmission resource for the feedback message based on the first resource overlapping the second resource, the first resource spanning at least portions of the set of transmission time intervals, and the second resource being within one of the set of transmission time intervals. The UE may transmit feedback message via the transmission resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless device may establish a sidelink communications link with a second wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit, to the second wireless device, an indication of a capability to support a configuration for phase continuity between multiple physical channel transmissions of the sidelink communication link. The first wireless device may transmit one or more physical channel transmissions, which each may be associated with a set of one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) to the second wireless device in accordance with the indicated configuration for phase continuity between the physical channel transmissions. Abstract: The aspects described herein may enable an apparatus to jointly encode two or more payloads using a single polar encoder device, while providing unequal error protection for the payloads. The apparatus causes a polar encoder to polar encode a first payload and a second payload to generate a polar encoded codeword. The polar encoder is configured to encode one or more bits of the first payload at a first reliability level and encode one or more bits of the second payload at a second reliability level, where the one or more bits of the first payload are associated with a first priority level and the one or more bits of the second payload are associated with a second priority level. The apparatus transmits the polar encoded codeword.
