A method that may be performed by a UE includes for each IRS of the one or more IRSs: identifying a first IRS reflection center, measuring a first impulse response from the IRS to obtain a first measured impulse response representation, determining a first impulse response for a first ray reflected from the first IRS reflection center of the IRS, estimating a first position of the UE based on, at least, the first IRS reflection centers for each of the one or more IRSs and the first impulse responses for each of the one or more IRSs, and estimating a second position of the UE in an iterative manner until one or more conditions are satisfied.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a first user equipment (UE) to establish a communication link with a base station and a sidelink communication link with a second UE using different transmission reception points associated with the first UE. The first UE may perform an interference measurement between downlink communications received on the communication link and sidelink communications transmitted on the sidelink communication link. The first UE may determine whether it is able to perform full-duplex operations on the communication link and the sidelink communication link based on the interference measurement and may transmit an indication of the capability of the first UE to the base station. In some examples, the second UE may perform measurements of interference from downlink signals on the sidelink communication link, where the measurements may inform the determination to use full-duplex communications at the first UE.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a network node and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the network node transmits, to a wireless device, a downlink (DL) signal for amplification and transmission of an amplified DL signal to a user equipment; determine an operating region of the wireless device for amplifying the DL signal. The operating region is one of a power-limited region in which a DL output power of the wireless device reaches a maximum DL output power, and a linear region, in which the DL output power of the wireless device is less than the maximum DL output power. The network node further adjusts the DL output power of the wireless device to cause the wireless device to operate at the linear region when amplifying the DL signal. The method improves the energy efficiency of the wireless device when transmitting the signals.
