Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station as part of a wireless communications system. The UE may receive, from a base station, an indication of a configuration for a multi-panel transmission power control (TPC) command to be transmitted by the base station. The UE may also receive, according to the indicated configuration, a downlink control information (DCI) message including a set of TPC commands. The UE may determine, based on the set of TPC commands, a first transmit power for a first antenna panel of the UE and a second transmit power for a second antenna panel of the UE. The UE may transmit an uplink signal using the first antenna panel at the first transmit power and the second antenna panel at the second transmit power.

A user equipment (UE) may determine a capability to support a mode of uplink control information (UCI) transmission corresponding to transmitting the UCI on an uplink control channel and an uplink signal on an uplink shared channel when the resources of the uplink control channel and the resources of the uplink shared channel are at least partially overlapping. In a first UCI transmission mode, the UE may transmit UCI on an uplink control channel with resources that overlap with an uplink shared channel. In another UCI transmission mode, the UE may multiplex the UCI in the uplink shared channel. The base station may transmit a configuration indicating to the UE to use a UCI transmission mode. The UE may transmit UCI on the uplink control channel and uplink signal on the uplink shared channel based on the configuration.
