Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a node in a multi-hop network may receive a configuration for a notification signal, wherein the configuration indicates a receive (RX) resource to be used by the node to monitor for the notification signal and a transmit (TX) resource to be used by the node to transmit the notification signal, wherein the RX resource and the TX resource are included in a time period that also includes one or more other RX resources and one or more other TX resources to be used by one or more other nodes in the multi-hop network for the notification signal. The node in a multi-hop network may refrain from transmitting or receiving in any resources within the time period except for the RX resource and the TX resource. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Efficient opportunistic communications in integrated access and backhaul (IAB) frameworks are provided allowing scheduling nodes and scheduled nodes to communicate within an allocated set of resources based on a different configuration than for non-opportunistic communications using a different set of resources. An additional set of available resources may be allocated for coordinated communications between a parent IAB-node and the child IAB-node. Resources within this available set are associated with a first configuration, and when prior coordination exists, the parent IAB-node and child IAB-node may communicate based on this first configuration over this available set of resources. However, when prior coordination does not exist, the parent IAB-node and child IAB-node may opportunistically communicate over the allocated set of resources based on a second configuration different than the first configuration. Using different configurations, power may be conserved and resources managed more efficiently in opportunistic communications where unsuccessful transmissions may be more likely.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a central entity may determine a set of schedulable resources for a plurality of links associated with a plurality of nodes of a multi-link network; and may provide scheduling information to the plurality of nodes to schedule communication on the plurality of links based at least in part on determining the set of schedulable resources. In some aspects, a node of a network may determine an extended slot format indicator for the node based at least in part on a received extended slot format indicator of a parent node of the node and a received null adjust request from a child node of the node; may provide the determined extended slot format indicator to the child node; and may provide the received null adjust request to the parent node. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment may perform retroreflection on a waveform received from a wireless device (e.g., such as a network entity or a second UE) to assist or perform various operations, such as identifying positioning information of the UE, broadcast signaling, or sidelink relay discovery. For example, the UE may receive control signaling indicating a set of resources during which the UE activates retroreflection communications between the UE and the second wireless device. The UE may monitor the set of resources for a waveform from the second wireless device and transmit a retroreflected signal to the second wireless device based on the received waveform. In this way, the second wireless device may identify a position of the UE based on the retroreflected signal, discover the presence of the UE for broadcast or sidelink relay discovery based on the retroreflected signal, or both.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A repeater may receive a control signal from a network device indicating that the repeater is to forward one or more messages associated with the non-serving cell of the repeater for a UE. The network device may output the control signal for the repeater. The network device may be a serving cell of the repeater. The network device may additionally output an indication of a beam direction and a time resource associated with the non-serving cell. The repeater may forward the one or more messages associated with the non-serving cell for the UE using the beam direction and via the time resource associated with the non-serving cell in accordance with the control signal.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an adaptation indication that includes a spatial adaptation indication that indicates one or more derived resources associated with a first CSI-RS base resource, each derived resource including a subset of channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) ports of a network entity that are derived from the first CSI-RS base resource, and/or a power adaptation indication that indicates power offsets for the first CSI-RS base resource or for the derived resources. The UE may transmit CSI feedback based at least in part on measurement of a CSI-RS from the derived resources, measurement of the CSI-RS in association with the power offsets, and/or measurement of a base CSI-RS transmitted from the first CSI-RS base resource in association with the power offsets. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network entity may select a subset of channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) ports from a CSI-RS resource associated with a two-dimensional antenna array. The subset of CSI-RS ports may be associated with an antenna subarray having a reduced size. The network entity may transmit an indication of a starting port of the subset of CSI-RS ports in supplemental configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.
