Abstract: A method and apparatus enable sidelink resource management using a sidelink discovery signal. The method provides for determining a resource configuration for a sidelink discovery signal. The resource configuration provides one or more parameters for transmitting the sidelink discovery signal. The method also provides for measuring link quality between the UE and at least one candidate relay UE. Based on the measured link quality one of the candidate relay UEs is selected and serves as a relay UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a high Doppler configuration is activated. The UE may detect, based at least in part on receiving the indication that the high Doppler configuration is activated, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) for a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) communication. Abstract: To more efficient sidelink communications, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided. An example method of a first wireless device operating includes transmitting a sidelink discovery probing message comprising at least a first identifier of the first sidelink device. The example method further includes monitoring for a probing response from a second sidelink device. The example method further includes transmitting a sidelink discovery message if the first sidelink device receives the probing response from the second sidelink device. The example method further includes skipping transmitting the sidelink discovery message if the first sidelink device does not receive the probing response from the second sidelink device.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems may support flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink transmissions. A base station may transmit broadcast signaling (e g , a system information block (SIB)) indicating waveform configuration information for an autonomous uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE). In some cases, the broadcast signaling may include a waveform configuration field (WCF) that may indicate whether flexible waveforms for autonomous uplink are supported, may configure a waveform type, may indicate waveform configuration mapping rules, etc. As such, a UE may identify whether flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink is supported, and may determine waveform types for autonomous uplink transmissions based on waveform type configuration information from a base station (e.g., which may include an indication of whether flexible waveform configuration is supported, an indication of waveform type/scenario mapping rules, etc.), one or more LUTs, identified autonomous uplink scenarios, autonomous uplink transmission parameters, or some combination thereof.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices are adapted to facilitate a random access procedure. According to one example, scheduled entity can transmit a first transmission that is received by a scheduling entity. The first transmission may include a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble sequence and a first message including information for determining a device-specific network identifier for the scheduled entity. A random access preamble can be received from the UE based on the random access procedure timeline, and a response to the random access preamble can be determined or transmitted based on the random access procedure timeline.
