Abstract: Provide for herein is an apparatus that includes multiple printed circuit board (PCB) layers and a via assembly. The via assembly includes a signal via extending through the multiple layers, and the signal via is configured to transmit a signal between the layers. The via assembly also includes a capacitive structure connected to the signal via to adjust an impedance of the via assembly along the via assembly. The capacitive structure is physically and electrically separate from other components of the PCB.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises an input power interface for receiving input power, a power control system for transmitting DC (Direct Current) pulse power on multiple phases over a cable to a plurality of powered devices and verifying cable operation during an off-time of pulses in the DC pulse power, and a cable interface for delivery of the DC pulse power on the multiple phases and data over the cable to the powered devices. A method for transmitting multiple phase pulse power is also disclosed herein.

Abstract: A method that includes receiving an indication at a modular electronic system of initiation of online removal for a module removably inserted into a slot of the modular electronic system, increasing a fan speed at the modular electronic system before the module is removed, monitoring an internal temperature at the modular electronic system, and providing an indication that the module is ready for removal upon reaching a specified cooling state at the modular electronic system based on the temperature monitoring. A panel on an adjacent module is opened and extends into the slot upon removal of the module to substantially block airflow bypass from the slot and maintain cooling within the modular electronic system. An apparatus and logic are also disclosed herein.
