Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for hop-count indication in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. An IAB-node may adopt and indicate multiple values for hop-count. The hop-count may be conveyed by a number of different reference signals and channels. A resource pattern and/or a slot pattern may also be associated with the hop-count to simply signaling. By associating the patterns with the hop-count, an IAB-node may be able to infer the resource pattern used by another IAB-node.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using a channel state information (CSI) report framework to support positioning measurements in a wireless network. More particularly, a base station may identify one or more reference signal resources to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) for obtaining at least one positioning measurement and configure the reference signal resources to be transmitted at least partially outside a current bandwidth that the base station and the UE are using to communicate data and control information. Accordingly, the base station may transmit, to the UE, a CSI report setting that indicates the positioning measurement to be reported and specifies that the positioning measurement is to be obtained from the configured reference signal resources.

Abstract: Repetitive PDCCH may be utilized to extend control channel coverage. The PDCCH may be configured to repeat in adjacent or non-adjacent slots per monitoring occasion of corresponding search space. The PDCCH may carry control information such as a grant that schedules a channel for a wireless device, such that the wireless device receives instructions for scheduling a channel at a scheduled slot. The apparatus may receive control information in a repetitive PDCCH within a set of slots. The repetitive PDCCH schedules a channel for reception or transmission by the UE. The apparatus may determine a scheduled slot index for the channel scheduled by the repetitive PDCCH. The apparatus may communicate the channel at the determined scheduled slot index and based on the received control information in the repetitive PDCCH. The channel may be a PDSCH, a PUSCH, or may carry A-CSI-RS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may identify a set of power configurations for a plurality of communications with at least one target device. The set of power configurations may be based at least in part on a type of signal, a type of channel, a parameter of the wireless device, a parameter of the target device, or a combination thereof. The wireless device may then determine a duplexing mode for the plurality of communications based at least in part on the set of power configurations. The duplexing mode may be, for example, a full duplex mode or a half-duplex mode. The wireless device may then transmit the plurality of communications to and/or receive the plurality of communications from the at least one target device according to the set of power configurations and the selected duplexing mode.

Abstract: When time locations of synchronization signal (SS) blocks (SSBs) are fixed within an SS burst set, the time locations and the slot pattern may be incompatible. In this case, the base station may not be permitted to transmit that SSBs that overlap in time with a configured uplink symbols because the base station is configured to receive uplink communications during this time, rather than transmit downlink communications during this time. As a result, the base station may have fewer opportunities to transmit SSBs, which may lead to increased latency due to delays in accessing the base station, may reduce spectral efficiency due to fewer opportunities to indicate beamforming parameters and/or fewer beams being used for communications, and/or the like. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein permit the base station to flexibly configure time locations of SSBs within an SS burst set, thereby reducing latency, improving spectral efficiency, and/or the like.
